This is the only time I'll post the link in this thread so I would appreciate the OP indulging me here and I don't want hijack this thread with any unnecessary posts.

Could be related to the withdrawn BCM update for the tailgate release issue?

could you please say more about the 'tailgate issue'? Is that the "unintended tailgate opening" - 21M08? My truck ('22 XLT) is telling me it needs that one, and supposedly the dealer has ordered parts for it...

The BCM update for tailgate release issue hasn't made it to an OTA update (yet) so it wouldn't be this.

There is a current BCM software update available in FDRS that is supposed to address the tailgate issue but performing it is bricking the BCMs of Powerboosts so most people who do their own FDRS updates are staying away from it until it's fixed.

Thanks. When I mentioned it to the dealer, he talked about ordering some needed parts. I didn't write 'em down, but they included a new tailgate switch (I think). Sounds like it also includes an update to the BCM?
I wonder if the bricked BCM issue is why he seemed vaguely hesitant at first about doing the fix.
