Right? I only had one hiccup when I updated mine and I had never used FDRS before. The first update I needed to do was an IPC update (part of 2.7.3 OTA) that you do with the USB stick and it wouldn't take, so it had to be CAN bussed in manually and it took an additional 6 hours. Asides from that, it was an easy, but time consuming, repetitive/tedious process to update the other modules including one more USB update that did work as it should, but there was nothing actually difficult about it. It is beyond me how trained techs can't do it. I still think they just don't want to for several reasons that I have already mentioned in previous posts.

Well, having bricked my Job 1 Powerboost with that infamous BCM update, I guess I'm just extra sensitive to the risks.

But that was because there was an error in the update package, and not because of anything you did wrong, correct?

I'm curious, if this will occur for non-BlueCruise. I have a Job 1 2021 non-BlueCruise that had the stuck 1.7.1 update, which was fixed, and I haven't seen an update since. Of course, my truck also doesn't display what version it's running either. The truck did download 2.5MB on 10/1, but I didn't notice any changes. A slight sign of encouragement is I got a message on FordPass to ensure I had auto updates on and an update scheduled set to make sure I get updates. Maybe that means they are getting ready to update my truck. Hope springs eternal. I'm getting really jealous of the "camera at speed" feature.

Correct. But it would likely not have happened OTA.

I remember that. The difference is, I just wanted to get my truck to where it should be....not beyond. As tempted as I have been to get another license and do 3.5.3, I'm patiently waiting my OTA. Had I not taken the FDRS route, I would have never gotten another update again. As least that's what the guru told me and from looking at my truck after being stuck at 2.7.3 for over 3 months, and I'm sure he was right.

3.5.2 is for all trucks 2021 and 2022. It is to prep you for 3.5.3 (which very very few have gotten so far) which has Alexa and full screen Android Auto/Carplay. If you provide your VIN, I can check the last 60 days of your OTA history.

I'm fully up to date and digging full screen CarPlay!

Open recall: 21M08 unintended tailgate opening.

No OTA history at all on your truck for the past 60 days. When you say your 1.7.1 issue was fixed, it was "fixed" according to whom and how long ago was that?

Never mind. I see someone with FDRS ( I assume your dealer ) performed a successful module repair on your APIM and TCU back on May 26th. Since then, I see a few people have looked at your truck with FDRS, which I am guessing it other forums members checking your truck for you. Very strange that you have gotten nothing since then.
