I got my 2.8.3 today , haven’t tried it yet , but it says we can now tie in trailer camera, how is this done and with what camera brand??

The language in the Ford Pass app should be changed to say “Pre Conditions Include But Are Not Limited To” because even though you checked what was listed there are actually more conditions than what are listed.

 

Do you happen to know all of the necessary conditions?

 

Most errors occur due to low battery conditions. Even with the battery fully charged, a lot of people have reported the updates falling. Post or PM your VIN and I can check your OTA history tomorrow from work.

Thank you for the information, really appreciate you taking the time to look this up. I wasn't sure about software versions as I couldn't figure out where I would find my current version. I see this thread referencing 2.8.3 a lot so I was thinking I would see that somewhere in my information. BlueCruise now seems to be working again but I am at a loss as to why my vehicle seemed to have been deleted and once re-added to FordPass with activation of BlueCruise it didn't seem to work for several days.

Yup, insufficient battery level. If you have a battery tender, charge your battery to 100% before trying it again. Also, try resetting the APIM. Turn on the truck, let the screen fully boot. Press the radio power button and forward seek button at the same time for about ten seconds until the screen turns off and reboots. Also, some people have reported that putting on the parking brake and turn off your automatic headlights before starting the update and locking the truck has worked for them. Good luck......2.8.1 is probably the biggest pain in the *** to get to go throough.

So I tried the APIM reset and it just failed again. I will put it on my charger when I get home this evening and see how things go. Should I leave the charger connected while running the update or should I remove it? I find it weird that my truck is only a little over a year old and I don't have a full battery. On top of that, my commute is about 30 miles each way, so I would think that would be enough to keep it charged.
