Would you be able to check my VIN 1FTFW1E59MFA57075 to see if you can find any issues with my OTA's. I keep getting "New Software Update Available" icon but when I click the icon, it's blank with no information. The owners manual says this icon will only appear if you have Automatic updates OFF but I have Automatic Updates On all the time. The "update available" icon appears every couple days. Wifi is on and always has a good connection when at home. I've tried doing a reset and disconnecting battery, turning Wifi off/on, have recurring schedule on, i'm out of ideas.
Last known software version is 2.3.0, now the screen is blank and not sure what version I have.
My truck was built late December 2021. Picked it up Jan 12, 2022 and is a 2022 Supecrew Lariat 501A with vin 1FTFW1E85NKD19743. Never have received any updates and online it shows Sync version 4.0.21297 .
Should I be concerned that I have NEVER received any updates?
Hi quick question for you does your sync 4 have Alexa built in?
Yes, the update failed about 25 times due to low battery voltage. It is very common with 2.8.1 for that to happen. Many people on here have reported issues with that particular update. Just because the auto start/stop was working does not mean anything. Many people have had this update fail even with a battery tender connected to their trucks and the battery at 100% charge. At this point, that OTA campaign that was pushed out to you has expired. You have to wait for it to be sent to you again to try again. I know it's not what you want to hear, but these updates have been a PITA for many people.
Thanks for the information. I had already discussed with my service advisor in the middle of this that it was my assumption from reading this lengthy thread that the battery was more than likely the culprit of the update failures. I was going to try putting my battery charger on it and give it a try but the update disappeared as you explained. What are the odds that it’s a bad battery? I’ve read about the 21 trucks having a batch of bad ones.

Weird. I can't pull up your OTA dashboard. It appears as a blank page. However, going into your connected vehicle home, it does not show any updates have been pushed to your truck in the past 60 days. We can't see any further out than 60 days.

I haven't heard anything about a bad batch of batteries in the 2021's, but if that is a thing, it would explain why so many of these trucks trip up with that particular update.
I had another OTA update fail, but fail in a different way, and the Update Details screen show that the update was successful.
Seems strange to me.
Well, welcome to my world. My truck's OTA dashboard said that the 2.7.3 install failed on 6/9, 6/13 and 6/21. Since then, it has not tried to install it again. However, since 6/9, my truck says that 2.7.3 installed successfully. Here we are 7 weeks later, and no more updates. I have an appt on 8/22 to see if this dealer knows what they're doing so they can properly update my truck.
With so many failures due to low battery, could this be a sign of a batch of defective batteries? I find it odd that the main reason is a low charge, and most of these vehicles are less than 2 years old.
This is just idle speculation on my part, but I would guess that the problem is NOT a batch of defective batteries, but rather a bug in the update software that is somehow causing the update to fail due to mis-interpreting the battery condition.
I say that because, in reading through these threads and the other forums, there are LOTS of battery-related problems with this particular update,, but not an apparent wave of "defective battery" threads, which I would expect to see if indeed there were a bunch of defective batteries.

My world too. Two unsuccessful msg's from Fordpass on 6/30, truck shows successful. Ford dashboard shows failed with no reason. Nothing since.
