Hey @Livnitup , can you screenshot my fdrs history. Having issues with a new ipma install. It is at the dealer now, they have been trying to get the ipma re-programmed after replacing but are having issues. They asked me to put the bcm back to stock, but are still having issues. Want to see what the printout shows. 1FTFW1ED2MFC01170

I had the rear brake assist disabled in the IPMA. I reenabled it and everything is working again. Thank you so much Sir.

Hey, I fixed mine myself. Do you have reverse brake assist disabled in the IPMA? If so try enabling it again and see what happens. It solved all my problems.

on second thought, I am getting the same error with the new ipma, so maybe they made a copy of the previous programming, not sure. will have to call them tomorrow to find out if it come preprogrammed or if they duplicate what is on the old one..

Ya, I was just going to ask you that. Perhaps they truck programming it with it disabled as you had it. The problems will still be there but then enable rear brake assist again and see what happens?

what happens if you disable rear brake assist again now that everything is working.. have you tried that? just wondering if we can disable again and have everything working correctly like before the 2.8.1 update

Haven’t tried it yet. I was so happy to have cruise back that I left it alone. I’m out for the day now. I may have time to try it tomorrow night if that would help you out.

When programming a new module, it pulls the configuration down from Ford's servers. If you had a ForScan change in the old module, it will be applied to the new one as well in most cases. The only time it wouldn't is if you made a change that wasn't uploaded, but that is very unlikely as you'd pretty much need to make the change before driving to the dealer.

When you say that it pulls the configuration down from Ford's servers, what "configuration" is it pulling down? Does Ford keep a record of each individual vehicle's current configuration, such that it knows if you've made a change to some module somewhere and it tracks that? Or is it pulling down a 'generic' as-built configuration?
I ask because I'm trying to build a mental picture as to how this all works. (I'm an engineer by trade and simply cannot help myself. :-) )
It seems to be highlighting something I've mentioned previously, which is that Ford, being a car company and not a software house, has a lot of work to do in developing appropriate validation, configuration and revision control tools. The previous comments, where it might appear that a change to backup assist has somehow caused a problem with other systems (e.g. Bluecruise), would seem to bear that out.
