My 2021 job 1 truck was hung up for a while early last year, but finally burst the log jam. Last update I’m aware of, however, came through 7/21/23, 4.2.1. I’ve been aware its no doubt coughing up a hairball on one of the problematic updates since, but hadn’t been too motivated since I figured I wasn’t missing much. But with blue cruise updates coming that will change.
I haven’t been following all the posts on this thread recently; any suggestions for getting the truck off its butt beyond waiting? I don’t have access to a P.C. laptop so not really able to update it myself.
With this showing in your OTA dashboard, the dealer can get involved to fix it. It does not look like your APIM is going to take the update the easy way. Dealer will have to manually update the APIM or diagnose it as faulty and replace it if needed.
@twave Btw, if the CMR update does not fix your issue, reach out to me so I can put you in contact with the person that can fix it.
You guys are amazing.. thanks for the info! I'll fire up FDRS tomorrow morning and report back on the findings. I see BCM has an update, given that it is a Platinum with the LED projectors (not quad 4's) is it safe to apply?

Please check my new to me (2 weeks ago) 2021 F-150. (My 2012 was not nearly so confusing to me.)
Update screen says updates are inbound (power and ?). Meanwhile another screen says no update needed. Until this week, imported rig (from Canada) hasn't been connected to a Wi-Fi since November.
Your capacity is at 29 of 70 and charge is at 57 of 100. You have until 2/17 to get this update to go through before the OTA trigger expires and you have to wait for it to be resent. You need to charge up your battery. Even that might not work. Your capacity being that low may mean you need a new battery.
Thank you for looking into this for me. By a stroke of luck, it updated this morning with no change to my battery. Just out of curiosity, could you check again just to see if you see anything different in case someone else has this issue?
Haven't received an update since last year after getting APIM replaced. Can you check VIN 1FTEW1EP4MFA48426 ?
This is the type of stuff that pisses me off. It's a very simple procedure to program a new APIM. You have two choice when FDRS asks you if it is the original module or not: Yes or no. By selecting yes, he most likely loaded the same broken software into the new APIM that messed up the original one. I need a pic of your entire "about sync" screen on your touchscreen so I can ask Jesse to look to see what needs to be done to fix this now. The sync version of your truck appears blank in Ford's server and you had an APIM OTA fail in December due to a software mismatch. No bueno.

Your truck seems fine. Last power-up update it got was 4.2.4 back in November, so you're only missing the 6.x.x updates. You had a BCM update sent in December, but it was recalled by Ford. Your truck is getting updates, so that's good. Nothing to be worried about, imo.

I asked Jesse to look at your truck, and someway/somehow, your APIM config is fine. Your OTA history shows you got some successful GWM updates right after they replaced your APIM ( the GWM that failed was a duplicate that you already had), but it also showed a failed APIM update that I thought may be attributed to bad software on your APIM, but I am happy to say I was wrong. The dealer never did a network scan after they replaced your APIM and your truck does not seem to have synced up with the servers on its own yet, so the OTA failed due to software mismatch. As far behind as you are, I would look into FDRS and updating the truck yourself.
