Good news.......Jesse took a look at your truck and he does not see any config issues that would prevent you from getting OTA's. Now it is just a matter of waiting until your VIN comes up in Ford's OTA roll-out process.

Livnitup is not very active on the forum. I believe that refers to part numbers for certain APIMs.

 

I wasn't expecting an answer from a specific person. Instead, I was hoping for one from any knowledgeable person reading this topic, such as yourself. Your time and expertise is appreciated.

 

Sorry for not answering sooner. KF/KG are just the types of apims for F150s with NAV. Most everyone with a '21 w/NAV has a KF apiim and '22-23's w/NAV mostly have KG apims. There's no capability difference betwen them that I know of and Ford refers to this as the hardware part # in OASIS. ex: MU5T-14G681-KF or MU5T-14G681-KG

I have an 2023 F150 Platinum since March 2023. Over the last couple of weeks CarPlay has disappeared, been gone a day or so, then returned, then disappeared and come back again. It seems to have undergoing a major update, gradually. Anyway now it is back and much better than before --- full screen, better audible directions, and new maps. It takes over the center dash (directly in front of the driver) as one nears intersections to show which way to make turns. For previous updates I got emails when there were even minor upgrades, such as a few new sentences added to the online manual. For this major upgrade to Car Play I didn't get any of that. It was just working one day, after some stops and starts. I assume this update is rolling out to everyone, in some unknown order. So --> Maybe that will be the case for you also --- something good will just be there one day. Hope so

 

Message in my truck says software update coming at 1am tomorrow. Will be completed by 1:45.
