Software Updates
Interesting. My truck skipped 2.7.2, as well. I wonder if this has something to do with why mine has failed to install three times? Yours only failed to install once and the retry is pending. You just gotta wait and hope it goes through. Just like my truck, there is no clear reason as to why it failed in the update notes.
Hi @vulnox , could you help check my truck's update status? It's been 2 weeks since I got 2.8.2, but I haven't got 2.8.3 yet. My vin is: 1FTFW1ED8MFC64466
Did you leave the charger on while the update was trying to install? Even if you did, many people have had issues at this stage of the OTA process.
You received 2.7.1 on 6/23, and you have no other updates in queue since then. That was only two weeks ago, so it's not surprising you haven't had another OTA pushed to your truck yet.

well, I can shed a little. I have eero too and will, at times have 2 connections that show up. They correspond to the 2 MAC addresses that are listed under the About Sync screen. One is active much more often than the other, going active whenever I start the truck or use Ford Pass to lock/unlock. The other seems to only go active every so often, and can go weeks between showing up. That less active one last got on my eero on June 3rd, so over a month ago. That is about all I know.
As for the data that goes over each, that I am not sure but do know that when I got one OTA update months ago, it came across the more active MAC interface as best as I can recall. My truck had been in the OTA/program hell and spent weeks at the dealer trying to get BC working so most modules were programmed via FDRS, thus no OTAs recently.

Oh, I don't know. Not sure if that violates your warranty. They are always looking for reasons to deny claims, though. I would put them back in and not give them any reason to say no to a repair. When I say "they" I mean Ford itself. If they deny the dealer's warranty claim, you would have to pay out of pocket for "modifying" your truck.

Then You really should have gotten the 2.7.2 update. This is from the wikipedia page on OTA's
2.7.2 February 2022
The easiest way is to connect ForScan and check for this file.

Thanks for the insight I will have to look at the mac address in my truck. Like yours one is way more active than the other.
So my ‘21 job 1 truck is at rev 2.8.3 and BC is working fine. I also have received the Trailer Relay Module software update all via OTA. Now in the OTA queue there is a package identified as PowerUp ver 2.1.0 I know it’s there because I have the widget on my phone.
That looked very wrong to me so I disabled OTA updates fearing it would mess up my BC and who knows what.
Are you @Airborne_Ape saying it’s just a labeling issue and it’s OK to install the 2.1.0 “update “?
