Haven't been paying attention, but I don't recall any updates since I got my BC enabled months back. Can you do the needful? LOL. Thanks. 1FTFW1E50MFB04459

I don’t know if my truck got an update last night, but my radio preset changed from 6 tabs to 1 tab this morning. I didn’t see any pop up’s about updates.

Can you guys rerun my Vin 1FTFW1ED5MFA85043

Just got it out of 2 dealers and the last said they failed updating the APM so many times my truck is now locked for 20 days from updates. Pretty much gets them out of their October deadline to fix it. I contact Ford homebase and they act as clueless as can be. The dealership did claim some modules were updated but couldn't say which ones.

Thanks

Anyone else read through a few of these and decide not to update their truck? Everything is working for me right now so I'm not sure why I would risk anything.

From what I can see, they tried to update the APIM a few times and it failed. They then tried a "module update repair" on the APIM three times which also failed. They got a few errors that read "poor battery condition" as the reason for failure. So they did indeed try. As far as getting locked out for 20 days, I have never heard of such a thing. Maybe someone that's more knowledgeable can chime in on that.

What risk are you referring to? These update issues are mostly affecting owners of the first batch of 2021 F150's which shipped from the factory without certain software installed and a promise from Ford that they would get them later. There is no "risk" involved. People just want what they paid for.

I had a failed power up message last month. Didn't worry about it. Got it successfully yesterday. Priority update 22-PU0727-V1-FXB

Ruge, I just dropped off my truck at the dealership for another round of updates. I don’t think that the las dealer did everything that they said they did so I needed an oil change anyways so I asked them to go over it to ensure everything was updates correctly. I have had a couple of issues with the left side speakers not coming on when I get in the truck and have to cut off the audio and they will return as normal so hopefully they can make sure everything is right. What I need is a list of what needs to be done now before they get started so I can compare it to what they say they do. VIN: 1FTFW1E82MFB07129

Thanks again for your help!

I'd love to help, but I am not a tech and I don't have FDRS to pull a list of available updates. I only have access to PTS which lets me see open recalls, DTC codes, OTA dashboard history and vehicle history of things done to it or things that were attempted to do to it at the dealer level and failed.

You did get an OTA today for the gateway module, but it does not say what update version it is. You last got 2.6.0 so it may be 2.7.1 that installed or an OITA to prep you for 2.7.1 to install.

Also, your truck is throwing out a bunch of DTC's every day you drive it. I don't see any codes related to the sound system, but then again, I'm no expert.
