the reason I say this is because, right now the start stop feature is not working. when I take a long trip it starts working again. Can the hood be open when you attempt an update?

I believe others have posted that the updates worked with the hood ajar but I would defer to them on this as I have done all my updates in FDRS so I'm no OTA pro. I would think the hood latch could be manipulated into making the truck think it was closed if need be.

You should also set up your FordPass.
Thanks for checking this - really appreciate it! I checked for updates but it tells me I’m all up to date - no other info provided. Also, since getting it back from the dealer there is a new button on the Software Updates screen labeled Update Now. When I select it I get a message saying the update is not ready and that there are no new updates requiring downtime.

FordPass lost connection to my truck upon getting it back from the dealer. Tried setting it back up multiple times. I can add my vehicle in the app but when I try to Activate Vehicle it fails/times out.

Its strange that I have a trigger queued for 2.7.1 because that’s the version I was on when I gave it to the dealer. It’s almost as if they did some work, it failed, and then they tried to restore to a saved/previous state but the restoration process was incomplete/corrupt/interrupted/etc… not sure

Mine didn't, 2.8.1 failed to install because my hood was unlatched and the battery charger connected. This was a large update and my truck is not a daily driver so I was concerned about batter level. I left the charger on the battery and let the update try to install at the scheduled time. When I saw it failed the next morning because the hood was unlatched I removed the charger, closed the hood and selected update now. The update completed with no issues.

Yes, I can see in the vehicle history that they did plenty of updates between 7/12 and 7/15, but I can't see what software version they got you to. The trigger was originally set on 7/15 which is the last day they did anything to your truck, and the trigger continues to go off several times a day since then. Nothing much you can do, really. If your truck already has 2.7.1 then you'll just have to wait for the OTA campaign to expire and hopefully the next one you get will be a newer one. I've been stuck at 2.7.3 for over a month now. My truck says I have 2.7.3 but it kept trying to install 2.7.3 and failing. At this point, it's been a month since it even tried to do anything. I've been meaning to disconnect my battery to do a hard reset, but haven't had much time and when I do have time, I forget to do it.

I guess you just can't win. I have been leaving my hood up with a charger connected. I guess I am back to an earlier post I made where I might need to install an external jack to plug in the truck as I do with my wife's C-Max plug-in hybrid!.
