Software Updates
Before Ford replaced my bad battery under warranty, I bought this battery charger and it worked great at keeping the battery charged while the updates were being installed.

Good video on the subject. Also don't forget to reset the BCM when replacing the battery.

It's forcing the alternator to engage with a heavier load on the system. Invest in a tender, it will maintain battery longevity better than an alternator. Really, alternators are designed to maintain a battery charge, they are not the ideal way to charge a battery. Especially when the battery is very low.
It is failing due to poor battery conditions. I would take the truck for a nice 30 minute drive with the a/c fan speed set on 5 or higher to charge the battery up. Try to manually install it as soon as you park it. SoC is low at 54% and capacity is at less than half at 33 of 70.

I just compared the files you got with the TCU update against another 2024 that got the same update and the files are identical (btw, you have a BCM OTA pending).
I can tell you that certain modules do require a "cool down" period after programming where codes/issue go away after a few key cycles (IPMA comes quickly to mind). Maybe after they programmed the CCM, it needed a bit to settle in?

Bottom line, problems started minutes after June 26 OTA update, disappeared immediately after the July 27 update - I have updates turned off, no more of that crap for me unless there's a reason, it spoiled owning the truck, and ran out my Bluecruise subscription while it was out of commission as well.
The Platinum's raison d'etre is its features, Ford's ability to impair an otherwise perfect truck for a month at random is really annoying, just like the brick'd Mustang EV that was at the same dealer at the same time.
My new 2024 that I have owned for 1.5 months now has yet to have the GPS work nor can I log into FORD Pass as the truck is not seen by the system. It seems to be related to a TCU fault but the dealer said it is my APIM module. All I know is, I do not want it fixed. All features (with the exception of GPS and FORD Pass) work just fine. I use Android auto so I have maps/routing if I need it via my phone. I am not taking my truck back in to have it fixed. Seems I am not missing anything other than headaches. All of this OTA update crap is only as good as the coders writing it and I think FORD has shown, they have some sloppy QA and average coders-
The one good thing is, I have made friends with the tech at my local dealer and he told me, to call him if I ever want a manual update and he'll hook me up-he sees the frustration from customers 5-10 times a day he said in the last few months.

Unbeleavable - after almost two years, last night, I got my first OTA update ever -- of any kind. Bought truck new in November 2022 and this is my first update

Good news is, you should have full screen carplay/android auto capability now.
Thanks so much. So, do you see that there are other modules that are out of date? If so, would you think those will be coming at some point -- maybe? Lol For some reason my truck has been stuck, where I have never received an update in two years until last night, (first ever OTA). Thanks for all you do.
