Ours said 145mins for 2.8.1 as well but it took just 66mins in the end. It's not blue cruise optioned so I just figured some of the modules aren't present that might otherwise lengthen the install time.

I have a similar problem as a couple others have mentioned where it will no longer display the version.

The dealer had mine for 6 days trying to apply the updates. They were able to get it back to a drive-able state and gave it back to me. They put in an inquiry to Ford. They said they thought it might take the remainder of the updates OTA but that hasn’t happened. I obviously have no bluecruise but also lost the ability to use active lane keep assist - so the end result of their work is that I lost capability. Sync is also randomly freezing up on me - rare occurrence so far but has been a mess since getting it back.

Here is my VIN (1FTFW1ED3MFA59931) in the event anyone can provide any insight as to the state of my truck. I would sure appreciate it! The dealer is puzzled and has not provided much info.

thank you very much for the insight, i thought that was the problem. Question, doesn't the new updates correct the low surface charge on the battery 🤔

I'm stuck on 2.7.3, I think....... 22B08 repair was done on 6/14. The truck received 4 OTA updates to 2.7.1 on 6/27. It was getting an update every 3 days like clock work. On 6/30 Fordpass showed two failures to load 2.7.3, but the sync screen in the truck shows it was successful. People on here checked my VIN and said the Ford system was showing the OTA failed and was queued up to retry. Since then nothing has happened. I have a trickle charger connected, a great WIFI connection and updates scheduled for every night. So 3 weeks without any action. If anyone could check my VIN 1FTFW1ED5MFC06184 I would appreciate it.

Is Ford still showing failure on the 2.7.3 update? Are any additional updates queued up?

I did a master reset to get rid of the that message. Mine failed twice. I haven't received the update again since the last fail at the end of June.

im pretty sure I haven’t had an update in a year and half. I took it in two weeks ago for some recalls. I wanted the 22B08 recall done, but after a week, the tech advisor said they couldn’t upload it and it was a software issue. Said to check back in a few months ;(

Is their a way to see what version I have on the sync website? When I look at my truck screen it doesn't have any version number. just a blank after. I know it gets asked a lot but can someone look at my Vin and see what's been happening? I'd like to have some knowledge of exactly what's going on for next time. Thank you..

No OTA history on your truck in the past 60 days. You have 4 open recalls:
  • 21C06 WINDSHIELD GLASS REATTACHMENT
  • 21M08 UNINTENDED TAILGATE OPENING
  • 22S12 WIPER MOTOR INOPERATIVE
  • 22B08 ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE RECOVERY

You have an OTA trigger for 2.7.1 on your truck as of 4am this morning. Go to the system settings on your truck and check for updates. The only open recall your truck shows is 22S12 FSA for the windshield wiper motor.

You should also set up your FordPass.

It's hard to say; if your battery is in good condition then I'm sure it would help but if it was me getting that message then I would try a battery charger to get it reading higher and then leave it on a trickle charge overnight and see if the update goes through.
