im pretty sure I haven’t had an update in a year and half. I took it in two weeks ago for some recalls. I wanted the 22B08 recall done, but after a week, the tech advisor said they couldn’t upload it and it was a software issue. Said to check back in a few months ;(
Don’t wait too long as I have heard people comment that the 22B08 package expires in a couple months for the free update coverage. If you can, find a different dealer that can try again. It took my truck almost 40 shop days to finally have them work with Ford engineers to get mine updated, including the need for an IPC replacement. Good luck!!

You absolutely need to push your dealer to get 22B08 done. The program expires at the end of October and you will be on the hook for any work they do to address this issue after that point. It is my opinion that many of these dealerships don't want to do these updates either because they are unfamiliar with doing software updates or more likely they have heard through the grapevine that in many cases beginning updates like the ones in 22B08 can open up a can of worms in the sense that it may require them to complete additional steps like calling the Ford service hotline and likely being put on hold and having to wait to get help. These are things that many techs that have been wrench turners their whole career tend to loath.
My advice is to push until you either force them to do the work, or refuse to do the work, and if they do that let Ford corporate know about it. I feel sorry for the people that will miss out on getting their truck fixed because they didn't push and then the CSP expires and now they are SOL.

I just had my truck updated and I didn't realize that after October I would have been on the hook. It took 13 hours of labor and several modules, so I don't know what it would have cost me but obviously a lot. The dealer also got my Blue Cruise working and I just realized that program has a cutoff too, the end of September. That one seems very unfair since I paid for the Blue Cruise hardware when I ordered my truck back in February of 21 and they couldn't get it to work until now. I would have been pissed if they told me I missed the cutoff date for something they failed to provide in the first place.
I finally got another update after received my first one, which was 2.8.2. However, the new one wasn't 2.8.3 as I expected, instead, it has no version at all. Also, I guess the reason I didn't get any updates before was due to weak signals of WiFi. I got my first update on 6/21 where I was on a multi-day road trip (no WIFI), and for this one, I had waited multiple weeks, but it didn't come. I finally turned off the WiFi in the truck, and today I got one.
I'm gonna try again soon, hopefully with another dealer. If I get a "rate your experience" from my last service appointment I'm gonna be fair and honest about my experience. Hopefully that will kickstart something as well...doubt it tho..
Is their a way to see what version I have on the sync website? When I look at my truck screen it doesn't have any version number. just a blank after. I know it gets asked a lot but can someone look at my Vin and see what's been happening? I'd like to have some knowledge of exactly what's going on for next time. Thank you..

I had the same problem with sync not showing the version. The first dealer had it 10 days with no results. They said they were working with Ford to figure out what was wrong but couldn’t figure it out so they gave me the truck back without fixing it and would call me when they had a solution. That was in May still no call. I took it to another dealer and they tried to program the APIM and couldn’t get it to work so they replaced the APIM a couple of days later and I’m uploading as we speak. That might be your solution also. Good luck.
My truck attempted to install 2.8.1 and keeps rescheduling, my theory that I need to charge my battery, could any one verify to confirm. Vin 1FTEW1EP7MKD96017 it's been very hot lately so I'm going to charge it when I get back home

Yes, in the status it states that your battery level is insufficient and the update states the vehicle will be inhibited for up to 2 hours 25 minutes.
