Had issues with blacked out screen on some start ups and intermittent lagging. I couldn't get updates and missed out on 3 updates, Got the APIM module replaced by the dealer under warranty and its been functioning flawlessly since. Love the sync4 system now.

I just got a "Recall" OTA update, It said Recall 22S17 for the trailer brake controller has been done OTA. Below is what it says.

What's in This Update?

Recall 22S17 Trailer not recognized We updated your trailer relay module to fix a potential “no trailer detected” situation or the possibility of losing your trailer brakes, which could result in extended stopping distances. This completes what we call safety recall 22S17. There is nothing you need to do. Ford Power-Up software updates like this let us handle recalls without the inconvenience of asking you to leave home. At Ford, we value your safety and we respect your time.

Lucky you. I'm still waiting for that update. You do not need to take your truck to the dealer so they can do the software update.

Yeah, I was surprised to got it OTA, I received the recall letter a couple of weeks ago saying I need to take it to a dealer to have the recall done. Now I hope they do the CSP Campaign# 22B08 OTA.

Since my sync 4 software is version 21223_PRODUCT as noted on the screen in my truck that would seem to correspond to version 2.1.2 which is not listed and is between 2.1.1 January 2022 version and 2.3.0 January 2022. I would presume mine got the flavour of the day software for installation as it was kicked out door of the Dearborn plant - they may have been installing an advance version to the trucks as they rolled out?
If I understand correctly - according to the table, 2.4.4 (March 2022) is the current version that most trucks would be upgrading to via OTA if the system was working. Some would be ahead of this due to early access and some would be lagging a bit as the system rolls it out due to various factors. Airborne Ape's comment about getting OTA's in Feb and current 2.3.0 version appears to bear this out.

Per Airborne Ape's recommendation I installed @tonesto7 's widget (Thank you for the work to develop that!) and have included some screen shots of the OTA update info tab here to get some feedback hopefully.
As well, under the all vehicle data tab on the widget at the very bottom it lists the following sync update info
  • syncinfo:
    • lastUpdatedDate: null
    • syncVersion: SYNC v4.0.21223
Anything glaringly obvious as to why no updates at all?
I will wait a bit longer but am now starting to look seriously at the FDRS rabbit hole that others have started to ensure my truck starts to get updated. If my buddy hadn't retired and sold his dealership, i would have just talked to him about having a tech push it through but the new ownership is something else.

@LinuxNuub Your guess is as good as mine.
The only advice I can offer is in post 352 in this thread.

When I look at the data in the widget for my Sync system, it is reporting a different, older version 21233 than what I see when I look at the About Sync in the truck than shows 22034. And for the longest time, the truck showed 21281 till they started trying to enable BC. So not sure what to make of the widget data in correlation to actual…
