You had 2.7.4 fail twice. Once on 6/21 and again on 6/27. The error says a generic error, so not much help there. It is pending another retry which can happen at any time.

Strange. Your OTA dashboard doesn't load for me to check. It also shows this on your connected vehicle screen which I've never seen before. I'm not a tech, so I don't know what that means, but I've checked countless trucks for people on here and I've never seen this pop up.

As an update on the updates.....my 2.8.3 update went thru yesterday (7-21-22) . I don't know if it would help anyone received the updates better, but as I stated in my quoted message...I set my auto update to every evening and now I have received all three updates within a few days. YMMV. When trying to update manually...I always got the "update failure" message.

 

I got 2.8.3 as well. Again, in my situation, it's confirmed that I didn't get any updates before was due to low Wi-Fi speed. I got my first update when I was on a multi-day road trip, then no updates in 3 weeks because I had come home with Wi-Fi reconnected. Last week, I disabled the Wi-Fi, and got two more updates in less than a week. One more piece of info to share, I got the first update when I was in Canada, so it appears that the onboard cellular supports roaming, at least between US and Canada.

 

So I had the same issue with 2.8.1 not updating for me. All previous updates went through with no problem.
Had an appointment with the dealer for another issue so took the truck in on Wednesday and asked about the update. They said they will look at it.
Just got a call that the truck is ready and they said they were able to get it updated.
Can someone check and see if 2.8.1 really did go through? My VIN is 1FTEW1EP4MFA67073.

I stopped doing "update now", and it went from 2.7.3 failing to 2.8.1 with the scheduled update. Next update scheduled is tomorrow night,

 

Other than a network test on 7/20 and replacing the tailgate motor today, they did nothing as far as any updates go. Your OTA dashboard says the campaign for 2.8.1 expired on 7/20 and the update failed due to low battery status. As far as I can tell, you're still on 2.7.4.

 

I thought it seemed to good to be true. Thanks for the confirmation.
