If they didn't buy it I would probably go the return route and just choose didn't need it anymore. You're not lying and choosing didn't work or damaged you just don't need it anymore but to each their own. I am sure sure if someone on here bought it they could probably rent it out to other members and eventually get their money back pretty quickly.
I tried to go the adapter route but still was unable to get the updates to take so sent it back and went back to the service department. They have since decided that I need a new IPC (on backorder till who knows when...) and that is supposedly what is causing my issues. We will see once we reengage.... I personally think it is the APIM, but they are only doing/replacing what Ford engineers tell them to. Feels like the blind leading the blind so far...

@Livnitup Well I took my truck to the dealership. They were like yeah we can update all the software. I printed out the list above and even gave it to them. In the afternoon I called for an update. Well you were already up to date, no updates available. They told me the things above are not software updates but downloads if something goes wrong. Any truth to that?

Also they stated that software version 21223_PRODUCT, Revision 197 is the latest Sync version... I have a build date of nov/dec 2021.

You have to install those updates to get the latest version of sync. It wasn't until after I installed 90% of the updates that a new GWM update appeared and then after that a new APIM update appeared that brought me up to Sync version 22095 revision 421. You can see a list of the Ford Power-Up here and which modules are included in those updates.

Do you have a Nov/Dec build? I think they call it build 2 or whatever.

Ugh I guess I can try a different dealership.

Mine is a Job 1 truck. My dealership wouldn't do the updates so I did them myself.

So to do it yourself you have to buy the $500 cord and what else?

Annoying I don't just get those updates OTA.

You need a battery charger to keep the battery at 12.5v or higher, the programming cable and the FDRS license. All together it's around $600. I would read through the guide and see if you want to do it or not. It is really easy just time consuming and plan on not being able to use your truck for the day while it's updating.

No, there's absolutely no truth to that and my own '21 that has a build date of 2/21 has 22095 rev 421 by doing the FDRS updates like the screenshot I provided to you above. As was just mentioned, when updates are done then new ones will then popup for other modules like GWM, APIM (Sync), etc.

It's been almost 2 weeks since the dealership did my "updates".

Since I left the dealership BlueCruise has been functional (and pretty nice the few times I got to go hands-free!). So, at least that's the good news.

But since then, until tonight, the bed camera had resulted in a blue screen. Magically it started working. Go figure! (Someone else had mentioned that theirs was also blue-screening after the dealer-performed updates but started working a few days later, so in this case patience paid off.)

What's still wonky is that when I go to connected services (I'd say on the app or on the web, but that's redundant, because in the FP app it just loads the web page), BlueCruise is still listed as "Available" and when I click on "Activate" I get an ERR_3000. I finally called the 800 number for BlueCruise support to inquire about this. It has been "escalated" and I should expect a response in 3-5 business days.

@Livnitup or @rugedraw (or any of the other kind souls) could you please see what you see for my VIN - 1FTFW1EDXMFB06341?
