I’m not sure but two days after the no version displayed update I received 2.6.0

Yesterday I received an alert in Ford pass that I received another update. When I went to look at it and after a second it disappeared, my sync still shows 2.6.0.

I recently picked up the 2022 F-150 I ordered in November. The blend date was early January, but it sat on a chip hold until May. The VIN is 1FTFW1ED0NFA40125
My question is how long should I expect to wait before receiving Sync4 updates over the air? I currently have version 21297_PRODUCT, Rev. 253, and I see there are several newer versions out there. I've enabled auto-updates in the truck, and setup a schedule for it to check for updates every night. The truck is in a spot with a great WiFi connection every night.
How long should I wait to get updates before getting concerned that they might now be working? Thank you!

If you go to help.ford.com and look up the sync version by VIN you're up to date. (See attached cap below.)

There a few members that can check your OTA status for other updates your truck may need.

Big shoutout of thanks to Livnitup - took his list of outstanding field service actions and updates on my 2021 Lariat to the dealer and after some discussions and having the truck for 3 days I believe I'm up to date including I now have Blue Cruise! Considering the first service advisor I spoke with did not know what Blue Cruise was (I'm in Canada) it was terrific to be armed with the field service action update numbers.

Except that so many of us have been plagued by the erroneous "You're up to date" line for months. Anyone with SYNC 4 isn't up to date with anything less than Version 22095_PRODUCT Rev. 421, which comes with Power-Up OTA update 2.8.3--no matter what any VIN search engine claims.

As far as when you'll get another update no one knows. Which is probably one of the more frustrating aspects of these OTA updates!

Can someone check mine. I looked at the help.ford.com website and it says "Your SYNC system (null) is up to date." which concerns me.

VIN is 1FTFW1E83MFB93857

Wanted to share something not sure if it will be helpful or not or at least add a variable here. On may 24th my system updated to 1.7.1. Afterwards like many here i checked why i was not getting anything new. Called ford they said the same "everything is up to date". It's now the 29th and after giving up and not wanting to pay the amount to manually do it I brain dumped it until the next appointment I have with the dealer. That being said I took the truck on a trip out of town (5hrs) on the 27th. I checked the software update and to my surprise I pulled up to 2.1.0. But now back to the same thing of my ford is up to date.

Now my question is did having the vehicle on the road for 5hrs help this process? I drive back home tomorrow and I'm interested in seeing whether or not I'll get anymore. If so my next theory I want to test if someone hasn't already is just a power supply idea and leave my car in "accessory" when parked at home each night and see if anything changes.

You're mixing up some things, when it says "Up to Date", it just means for the campaigns currently active for your truck, it doesn't mean it's on the latest software available in the world. Nothing you do with your truck is going to make it get an OTA update, not leaving it in accessory or driving five hours or any of it, because your truck doesn't go out and grab an OTA update. The updates come in waves based on when Ford pushes them, and they do them in batches based on VIN. I didn't get any since November but in the past month have received one almost ever 3-5 days, which coincides with what you are seeing, saying you got one on the 24th then got one 3 days later.

Below is from my last update, a trigger is created for your VIN then the truck is contacted and told to receive files for an update. You can drive the truck for hours or hit the update details button until you wear out the screen and it won't matter until your VIN is marked for an update.

Now, that said, once the trigger is set, the files downloaded to the truck, it seems to sit in a state of being ready to be installed on vehicle activation. I have seen this on mine three times now because I check the OTA dashboard almost daily.

The OTA update doesn't seem to install once I am at that Update Files are Ready to Activate until I next start my truck. Then it goes to "Vehicle Activation Start" and if the Vehicle Inhibit isn't set to "Yes" for the update, it will install it when I am driving.

So driving the truck can kick a pending update to install, but you don't need to drive it for hours. Most of the updates take 1-2 minutes, with the largest one I have received taking about five or so (2.6).

Don't worry about any tricks or driving for hours or any such thing. You can't force an update aside from using FDRS.
