Read back t@roadPilot messages and you will change your estimate to 3-4 weeks min. I am in the same boat, so don't feel bad. And he tried warning me before I smacked myself in the groin with a hammer... ;-)

 

Yup. My "few hours" has now turned into well over 1 month ... and still counting.

 

I've called several local dealerships and I was told by two of them that they are not receiving the update from Ford until mid May.

 

I had the same thing happen to me yesterday. They determined that their software wasn't updated and they had to wait on Ford to update it.

I was just wondering if getting FDRS difficult to do? Is there soneone on here that can walk us on how to do this and what we need. Just don't want to do it all in 1 day. Just asking.

This is where I started here
I used the Mongoose-Plus J2534, the Clore PL2320 charger, and a USB drive. I got the 2 day FDRS license and as luck would have it, did it mostly in one day. I would advise to plan for two days anyway because you want the second day to check after it sits overnight and updates itself and FDRS updates.

No info available for your truck. It says no OTA's available and no OTA updates in the last 60 days. The system says your truck was sold outside of the US, so you'd have to go through a dealer in your country to get more info.

 

You wonder why they send out the letter specifying the 21G01 fix if they don't prepare the service departments for it.

The reason I decided to finally bring the truck in was I saw some people posting successful updates. Hopefully, they are more common than failed updates.
