I used to notice that I would get 2 different network connections from my truck. One was listed as Sync and the other was the TCU…. I have not had the Sync connection since my last successful OTA back in February. Does anyone else ever see this Sync connection anymore, of did they change something where this no longer connects?

Your last OTA on 2/4 was successful and you have the following modules that have software updates:

Hi... last year we finally got our F150 Lariat Powerboost and absolutely love it up until 3 weeks ago when we took it to the dealer for updates (more specifically the blue cruise update). As of today we have been receiving little feedback on the status , and that only the updates are not taking. They have been talking to the Ford hotline to fix it and have had no luck and we have no end date on when we will get it back. We are trying to understand at this point, what has been tried and if any progress has been made. We found this forum to be helpful in many ways and am hoping for insight on what to expect. If someone could help calm our fears it would give us hope that we do not have a lemon prone to problems. VIN# 1FTFW1EDXMFB26394.

Sorry for your issues. Welcome to the club. I just dropped mine off again after about 3 weeks in trying to get the BC update. There are some even longer than this. Ford is s having SW issues for sure and hopefully will get better.

After reading all the horror stories, I turned my auto updates off. Things are working and I don't have BC so deciding to leave it alone. My truck refuses to get updates even though Livinitup has shown I have updates waiting to download and have no OTA history after 10 months of ownership.

So for those of you waiting on the a replacement APIM (the next revision with updated firmware): Don't hold your breath.

Long story short, the supplier that programs these has NOT finalized the next "new" firmware build, so they can't program them nor ship the parts to the dealerships.

Bottom line, "THERE IS NO ETA FOR A FIX AT THIS TIME". That's per Ford Customer Relationship Center (I have an open case) as well as my dealership.

Today marks 2 months exactly since my truck first went in for repairs. At this point, there was another one to buy, I'd be driving it.

I'm a little scared now. My dealer called today and said my APIM finally arrived after waiting 2 months. I have BlueCruise from the OTA updates. The only problem I have is the profiles won't follow the keyfobs and Myview keeps resetting. I'm s little hesitant to schedule an appointment.

Your concerns seem valid. I would at least work out in advance the "what if" your truck gets bricked or has limited functionality. Loaner, rental, whatever.
