Im on 2.3 via OTA but have a bunch of road trips coming up starting next week. Could you check my VIN and see if I am pending updates? I'm guessing OTA could still be coming for me but man I would love BC now.

So for those of you waiting on the a replacement APIM (the next revision with updated firmware): Don't hold your breath.
Long story short, the supplier that programs these has NOT finalized the next "new" firmware build, so they can't program them nor ship the parts to the dealerships.
Bottom line, "THERE IS NO ETA FOR A FIX AT THIS TIME". That's per Ford Customer Relationship Center (I have an open case) as well as my dealership.
Today marks 2 months exactly since my truck first went in for repairs. At this point, there was another one to buy, I'd be driving it.

My appt at a local dealer was confirmed today, when i asked them to make sure that they could do the 21G01 update , they took a minute and actually asked the techs . They came back and said they didn't have the proper equipment to do that type of update.
Not faulting this local dealer, (My dealer is a different story )
I haven't had to use Ford service at all except for the the driveshaft fiasco on my sons Platinum, they covered a rental for the 3 weeks it took to get a replacement one so all is good with that ...
Done with the whole mess, Ford denied the buyback claim and tomorrow morning am going to file my BBB arbitration and take it form there . I have 2 of these Platinum job 1 trucks , I only care about mine, it isn't huge issue for my son.
@Ford are you listening, I have bought 5 60K+ vehicles in that last 3 years . Tend to trade every 2 years... 0 engagement from their side
I still say that they don't have the correct hardware to do the OTA for BC.
You would think that if an owner initiated buyback proceedings they would FastTrack the issue but nope ...

Will reconsider my next 5 purchases ...

I used to notice that I would get 2 different network connections from my truck. One was listed as Sync and the other was the TCU…. I have not had the Sync connection since my last successful OTA back in February. Does anyone else ever see this Sync connection anymore, of did they change something where this no longer connects?
Congrats. I had the last three of those done last Weds & Thurs, yet still am at Power-Up 2.1.1 and a much earlier SYNC. I'm contemplating what to ask the tech to attempt at tomorrow's appointment, but I've sworn off the comprehensive 21G01 for now. Probably the PCM, especially since last week the dealership was unsuccessful at overcoming Deep Sleep Mode, and the PCM update may be related. Would you, or someone else, please run my VIN, post-last week and pre-tomorrow? Muchas gracias! 1FTFW1E81MFB04500
