Software Updates
If you have Forscan, toggle the value to disable the power running boards and save. Reset the module, then toggle it back to enabled and they should start working again. Not sure if the lock switch will, but they'll at least work otherwise for you. I think there's a new revision of the service procedure to address this and other problems as well.
To add to what I posted above, there is apparently a setting to enable/disable the kick switch too. Toggle that like the running boards and it should work again for anyone else having the problem. It's in the Driver's Seat Module (DSM).
I've yet to get an OTA despite having owned the truck since mid-September. Given the problems folks are having, not sure that's a bad thing. My Sync4 connect wirelessly to Android Auto, turn-by-turn directions showing in the console. "OK Ford" voice prompting works... Might be smart to leave well enough alone for now and concentrate on adding fun "toys" like the ambient lighting I just added. Gives a nice soft blue glow under the dash and seats. If anyone is interested, I'll post some pics.
@Livnitup Thanks once again! Hopefully they can figure out what isn't allowing BC to stay engaged. Maybe the 22P08 program update to the gateway module and map update will fix it.

The 21G01 didn't fix anything. Actually broke stuff instead. Running boards no longer function, navigation in the speedo cluster no longer works, the visual ACC blue steering wheel in the RPM gauge window with the hands on it no longer displays, lane keeping doesn't work, lane centering definitely doesn't work. They said they updated Sync to the latest version, but I am still at 21281.244 which was where I was for 2.3.0 OTA.

My update fix at the dealer failed and they ask Ford for help. It will be two weeks this Tuesday and Ford still has no idea on what to do to fix it. Nothing like designing something that you can't fix when it does not work.
Well, I finally got an OTA update. After Fordpass told me I had received an update my truck started entering deep sleep. Each time I started it or charged the battery, it still did it. I took my truck into the dealer and had it sit for the better part of a week since they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Thanks to @Livnitup I saw that my truck tried to update since February and kept failing.
So, after getting nowhere with the dealer, I brought it home and bit the bullet and bought a Mongoose and FDRS license. All I can say is wow! On first read I had several module failures that couldn't be erased or reset by a battery disconnect. No wonder there were problems. I went ahead and spent my weekend doing updates. I don't know how many I ended up doing because a few that I did yesterday wanted to be done again today according to Ford's servers. In all, I probably did around 25 updates both through CAN bus and USB. What I can say is it was nerve wracking since I was worried that each one would fail and brick a module. My engineering education has taught me through the years that nothing is foolproof. Well, happily, after doing every one of these, one with over 2 GB of data, and one with over 16,000 read/write steps, every module finished green with no cmdtcs or dtcs. As a result... I am on the latest SYNC version and when I tried to use cruise control today BLUECRUISE activated!
Now, I caution that your results may vary, but if you have too much money (I don't), steely nerve (I don't), are willing to take a chance (I guess that fits me), and no patience (that was me in this instance), look on the other Gen14 website and follow the step by step instructions.

I was signed up for the early access for blueCruise for my job 1 21 f150. I kept having failures so I reached out to the early access engineers who kept trying to push the downloads. They finally suggested I go to the dealer for the update. The dealer had my truck 3 days and it had issues multiple times. When I got it back I noticed sync was updated and it would tell me blueCruise was on, but never engaged. They checked it again yesterday and said there was codes. Now they want me to bring it back so they can try again. I attached the image the dealer sent me to show me they downloaded the update. Im not sure if they missed something.
