I was signed up for the early access for blueCruise for my job 1 21 f150. I kept having failures so I reached out to the early access engineers who kept trying to push the downloads. They finally suggested I go to the dealer for the update. The dealer had my truck 3 days and it had issues multiple times. When I got it back I noticed sync was updated and it would tell me blueCruise was on, but never engaged. They checked it again yesterday and said there was codes. Now they want me to bring it back so they can try again. I attached the image the dealer sent me to show me they downloaded the update. Im not sure if they missed something.
Your update list looks totally different than mine. They did no Telematics Control Unit update or Sync/APIM update on mine, but they did do many other module updates yours is not showing... Really weird…

The Mongoose cable connector was the pricy part at $500. FDRS for a two day license was $50. The Mongoose can be reused, sold, leased, rented, or whatever. You also need a very good battery charger/maintainer which I already had. It needs to be able to do 20 amps or so all day long.

No OTA updates show as pending and that 2.3 update on 3/15/22 is the latest thing showing. Below are the software updates available for your truck:

They said they updated Sync to the latest version, but I am still at 21281.244 which was where I was for 2.3.0 OTA.

Truck getting dropped off at dealer again Monday on my way to the airport. Let them hopefully get with Ford engineers and figure out what's going on...
Sadly, I see that you are going through what I've been going through for over 1 month now ... :/

Yes, I am caught in the same BC Update vortex. Hopefully one of these visits will have somebody at Ford finally figure out a fix.

I see other people’s lists of modules that are updated when they get the 21G01 applied and the list is different than mine. The big one I think missing for me is Sync/APIM that is still at 2.3.0.

Hard to tell anymore. I’m kinda going glassy eyed whenever I think about it…

Yes, I think we are with a long list of many who have tried but failed in getting BC working. Maybe this will be the lucky week for us all!!!!

My truck has been in and out of the dealer for the past 3 weeks trying to get the updates to work. They had to use the USB/ethernet adapters to update but it continuously failed. Dealer had 4 other trucks in the same conditions so Ford sent someone to investigate. They identified a batch of ethernet adapters that were faulty. they said about 200 dealers received these and will have replacements shortly.

I'm going to have to take it to the dealer to see if they can do it. Very strange.

Edit:

I also found this. It seems like some trucks may need to have it installed at the dealer. See the items in yellow which are pending recalls/issues that need to be done in house. That could be why the OTA keeps failing when my truck tries.

Good morning! Could you please send us a private message with your VIN and dealership information? I would like to look into these OTA update concerns for you on my end. Thanks!
