About 3 days after I successfully received 2.8.1, I received 2.8.2 last night and I have official Blue Cruise support. When I looked at the Connected Services section in the Ford app it still said "Blue Cruise is Coming" or whatever it did before. Then on my ride into work this morning I jumped on a supported road and enable cruise with lane centering and sure enough it flipped to Blue and all was well.
After I got to work I saw that I have a message in the Ford app saying Blue Cruise is ready so I think you may need to at least start the truck after the update to get this notification. Now when I got to Connect Services in the app it shows an expiration of 6-17-23 for Blue Cruise (I am a Job 1 Truck).
The one thing I noticed for these updates is there always seems to be at least 2 full days between updates (you need to wait for the notification to go away in the app and on your truck's screen that an update was completed before expecting another). Another thing I did was regularly open the Ford App and also adjusted my scheduled window for updates. No idea if this helped anything but it made me feel like I was trying.
Lastly, especially for that large update for 2.8.1, the batter level needs to be very high so if you're failing it, charge your battery (thanks be to everyone in this thread checking VINs that helped uncover this).
No updates.....correct. The did "repair" a module before the three times the APIM update failed. See the notes below:
Module Update Repair 12:01:49 PM This procedure will repair the APIM and TCU databases. It will not program any software or perform any software updates. You will need special USB and Ethernet cables and adapters. It also requires you have Administrative rights to the PC. Note: Running this application repeatedly on the same VIN will cause the backend system to lockout the VIN and prevent obtaining necessary data required to repair the SYNC and TCU on the vehicle. Do you wish to continue? Button Pressed : Yes
Module Update Repair 12:12:38 PM The Module Update Repair procedure was successful! Perform any software updates on the TCU and APIM as required. Button Pressed : OK
So whatever this was, it went through. After this, they tried to update the APIM three times with no success.
I had my truck in the dealer for an oil change and recalls a few weeks ago. I was driving myself crazy checking to see what they were doing every hour. They never even tried to update my APIM or anything other than the recalls even though I have the FSA for bluecruise programming on my truck and I was asking them to do it. Got my truck back without the latest updates and gladly surrendered that horrible Tacoma they gave me while my truck was there. Just like @Borchelt mentioned earlier today, the OTA's started coming in frequently as soon as I picked it up from the store. If they can't get it done, hopefully you still start getting OTA's naturally like a few of us. It seems like once the dealer connects to the truck and does network tests on it, it wakes something up in them where the updates start coming in. I've been following this thread for a while and this has occurred with several members on here.
Since I am 2.5 hours from my dealer I decided to let it stay at the dealership through this coming weekend. The dealer is still claiming that they successfully applied the CSP 22B08 and now the screen in the truck displays the sync4 version number and the automatic updates toggle is no longer grayed out and is turned on. This despite you showing me there was no successful update. I figure if they are telling me the truth the truck should start receiving OTAs now correct? And I should get notified in my FordPass app. So my thought is if I receive no OTA notifications in the app by Monday morning, its safe to assume they lied to me and they need to get on the Ford help hotline with an engineer, correct? If it does truly need an new APIM is a Ford engineer the only one that can approve this so its fully paid for under warranty? Sorry for the barrage of questions but I'm just trying to exhaust all options from home before I have someone drive me 2.5 hours back to pick up my truck for the 3rd time and still without a fix.
Keep getting this error. All conditions are met and it gets as far as preparing update and I can hear the clicking under the hood and then a few minutes later the screen goes blank and no progress bar. I did hook my battery up to a charger as this is the 2.8.1 update that states it takes 145min.
You're on 2.8.3 since the end of May and you received the trailer module update earlier this month. You're good to go.

Man, I don't know. I am not a tech. I am in sales with access to PTS and I just read and relay info to people who want to know. Yes, the APIM will be covered by warranty if they diagnose that as the issue as has been the case for several people here.
Edit: They seem to be working on your truck this morning. There is activity in the vehicle history with today's date.

Ok thank you for the update. I sent a pretty stern email to the dealer yesterday afternoon so maybe they know they are just going to have to deal with this same issue again later on when I'm even more pissed off if they don't deal with it now. Mu guess is they got to the point where the next step was to call the engineers and they didnt want to do that so they just said it was fixed.
I had this exact issue for about a week. Your battery level is likely not meeting the proper threshold. To remedy I put a trickle charger on the truck one day after work and had the scheduled window for updates set for 11:30 PM. The next morning, I had an update saying the update took successfully. Depending on how depleted your battery is, you may need extra time on a charger. Don't give up.
For 2.7.1, it looked like it was the battery as it was not installing as well with the same issue. I connected the truck to a trickle charger and it took as well. Now for this one even with the truck being connected overnight the error still pops up.

I don’t understand. I did receive the trailer recall update which installed, what do I do with this one? Ignore it until 2.82.?

I'm sorry.......I quoted you instead of @RollinTide I meant to tell him his OTA dashboard shows he is on 2.8.3. I am not sure what advice to give you. Mine is trying to update itself to 2.7.3 OTA even though my truck shows it already has 2.7.3 on it. I haven't gotten as far as you have yet, but I have my battery charger ready go for when I'm there.

The interior cameras now know where I am looking in “hands on” mode and I can use the bed camera while moving, but still no “hands free”. Can someone see what updates are available for 1FTFW1ED9MFB39928
Strange that your bluecruise isn't working. You sure you have everything turned on? Your OTA dashboard shows you successfully got 2.8.3 on May 24th.

I went through the menus earlier this week just to make sure I hadn’t missed something but did not find anything. It is strange because the adaptive cruise with lane centering all works just fine, and if I look away for more than a glance I get the warning. Perhaps there is another module that needs to be updated and it just hasn’t come through yet even though I am on 2.8.3? Has anyone else seen this?
I would stick with charging it. The difference between 2.7.1 and 2.8.1 is massive so I suspect the battery level may need to be even higher. Downtime on 2.8.1 is a whopping 145 minutes.

My dealer successfully did the 22B08 update to my truck on Tuesday and it fixed the grayed out OTA button issue I have had since December. I picked the truck up Wednesday morning, drove home and got an OTA update to 2.1.0 within an hour and a half of arriving at my house. Go get your truck and good luck with future updates.
