To be fair, the shop took me in with no appointment promising only to get me in as soon as possible. Well, on the fifth day (this past Friday) in the shop they were able to "start" working on my vehicle. The service writer admitted to me he thought they would be able to finish it in a couple of hours on Friday afternoon. He also told me that they had not done ANY of these software upgrades and that, truth be known, they had hardly seen any vehicles at their dealership that are even equipped for the BlueCruise feature. So, I was their guinea pig and, had I known that, after reading some of the nightmares on this thread, I probably would have waited for 2 or 3 months and then try for the update hoping that the techs would be more familiar by then. But, I have to say, these guys were determined, ultra polite, and promised that they would not fail to get me the updates, that they would let me test drive the vehicle with one of their techs (turned out to be the shop foreman) to insure everything was working correctly, as well as taking care of the 2 active recalls. So, hats off to them for their effort.

I went from Sync 4 version 21146, Revision 145 to Version 22028, Revision 358. I don't if I have other updates pending or if this is the most current. Maybe someone else here might know? I hate to keep bothering people, i.e. @Livinitup :-), but my VIN is 1FTFW1ED3MFB51153.

I also notice that I now have the updated OTA update schedule options for more than one day. And, somehow, and I'm not sure how, at one point while in forward motion at about 25 mph, I got the rearward facing camera to display fullscreen on the display and then, just as quickly, it disappeared. Not sure what happened there but I guess I need to experiment a little.

Just wanted to add that on my receipt the following was included: "PERFORMED ALL REPROGRAMMING TO MODULES PER FSA 21G01. TCU FAILED FLASH DRIVE PROGRAMMING AND WENT THROUGH IDS FOR 4-5 HOURS.
I'm not sure what this means but maybe someone can explain.
My truck has been at the dealer for over a week now. Today they called to tell me that after 6 hours, they could not update the TCU. The Ford engineer that’s directing the repair called Ford and now they are replacing the TCU, service writer said the TCU was not back ordered so they should have it by first of next week and then they will continue with updating. From what the service told me that if the TCU is not up dating, other modules will not update properly. They did finally replace the battery and battery sensor and now that part is at least operating correctly.

Well, only bad news to report:

"We performed the procedure suggested by the Engineers and it was unsuccessful. Also just for note I spoke with the technician regarding the TSB that you had provided earlier and he did attempt that then as well but it just did not go through. So I have a message out to the engineer right now for him to get back with me."

Well, they have been working on this all week with Ford. They said they got the updates to install, but when they test drove it Blue Cruise would deactivate whenever they turned it on. Ford told them to clear the cache and redownload the 21G01 updates which they did, but they still are getting the same Blue Cruise deactivation.

@Livnitup any chance to check VIN 1FTFW1ED8MFB71088 again? Would like to see what they have been doing for the last 2 days and what has/has not been updated. Only if you have time. No worries if not. Thanks!!

@Livnitup Thanks once again! Hopefully they can figure out what isn't allowing BC to stay engaged. Maybe the 22P08 program update to the gateway module and map update will fix it.
