Well, on the fifth day (this past Friday) in the shop they were able to "start" working on my vehicle. The service writer admitted to me he thought they would be able to finish it in a couple of hours on Friday afternoon. He also told me that they had not done ANY of these software upgrades and that, truth be known, they had hardly seen any vehicles at their dealership that are even equipped for the BlueCruise feature. So, I was their guinea pig and, had I known that, after reading some of the nightmares on this thread, I probably would have waited for 2 or 3 months and then try for the update hoping that the techs would be more familiar by then. But, I have to say, these guys were determined, ultra polite, and promised that they would not fail to get me the updates, that they would let me test drive the vehicle with one of their techs (turned out to be the shop foreman) to insure everything was working correctly, as well as taking care of the 2 active recalls. So, hats off to them for their effort.

I went from Sync 4 version 21146, Revision 145 to Version 22028, Revision 358. I don't if I have other updates pending or if this is the most current. Maybe someone else here might know? I hate to keep bothering people, i.e. @Livinitup :-), but my VIN is 1FTFW1ED3MFB51153.

I also notice that I now have the updated OTA update schedule options for more than one day. And, somehow, and I'm not sure how, at one point while in forward motion at about 25 mph, I got the rearward facing camera to display fullscreen on the display and then, just as quickly, it disappeared. Not sure what happened there but I guess I need to experiment a little.

Just wanted to add that on my receipt the following was included: "PERFORMED ALL REPROGRAMMING TO MODULES PER FSA 21G01. TCU FAILED FLASH DRIVE PROGRAMMING AND WENT THROUGH IDS FOR 4-5 HOURS.
I'm not sure what this means but maybe someone can explain.

Check your battery, make sure it's at full charge.

Dealership indicated that they received the adapter/connector/cable to perform the direct APIM upgrade per TSB 22-2117. Tech is supposed to be back in tomorrow (has been out for "training" this week). So ...

Default Need some help

I have had my KR since Feb. 2021. It has never told me an update was available nor has it told me it has ever been updated, even on FordPass. Took it to the dealer for a recall and asked them to update it. They said they did. That was three months ago. No OTA updates since then either. It is connected with a strong signal to Wi-Fi, updates are scheduled, but nada. My VIN is 1FTFW1E81MFA21150. I also paid for blue cruise when I purchased it. Can someone tell me if I need to take it back to the dealer to get an update, or are there simply no updates? Thank you!

I still haven't heard anything from my dealer about my new APIM. As far as i know it still hasn't come in. With everything you've gone through, I'm glad it didn't.

My truck also downloaded 2.5.2 today. BlueCruise worked like a champ on the expressway coming home from work.

Default blueCruise Post Install at Dealer

So.. I took the truck into the dealership and had the software update done to enable BlueCruise. The upgrade worked and BlueCruise works! Now, the question I have is the Software Update shown in the setting still shows 2.3.0, not the right version of 2.5.2. I know 2.5.3 wasn’t installed since the camera in motion isn’t working.

The reason I had the dealership do the update was because I wasn’t getting the 2.4.x updates, and my son is a mechanic at the dealership. So for me, it’s just have him take it to work for the day. I have check for the update while at home, with the Wi-Fi connected.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Ask your son?

Sorry man, I couldn't pass up the opportunity for a pre-long-weekend jab. Total joke.
