Well there is a reason why my wife say that I am blind LOL

Jokes aside - during the second short drive today, got a pop-up on the screen about software update ready to install and I need to leave the truck alone for 16 minutes... and I got exactly the same update!
And the truck did not brick itself during the update

Are you still on your original battery? If so, there's your issue. Replace it with a quality aftermarket battery, reset the BMS, and you should be good to go.

They replaced my original battery @ 1 year when they killed it while replacing and updating the APIM and IPMA to get BC enabled on my Job 1 truck. Since then, I've never had to charge my battery manually and am up to date on all OTAs. The only time I ever attached my Clore charger (power supply mode) was when I did a bunch of module updates manually using my Mongoose and FDRS (because I wanted to, not because I had to).

if you're having to charge it beforehand for an OTA update to apply without failure, something is wrong. Get your battery checked and replaced. The OTA process wasn't designed to require an owner to put a charger on beforehand.

i do drive my truck almost every day. Three days a week it's a 110 mile RT. So the battery is always in good shape.

New guy here to the different software type of updates. What are the different type of updates to be expected with the 14th gen F150s? I think I understand the Power-Up OTA updates and after watching several YouTube videos, I just received 6.2.0 yesterday. It seems like there are other types of updates as well (Sync4?) and dealer installed types as well.

23 Powerboost 701A

Thanks in advance

Privacy Concerns: is Ford watching and/or recording every move we make in these vehicles? They apparently can remotely connect with my truck at any time to make software updates, so what else are they doing?

Also, I had something very strange happen yesterday morning. I got in my truck and drove to work and saw that most of my stored Sirius channels were changed, deleted, or actually put in a different location on my presets! Who did that? Are they just screwing with me? LOL

There are power-up and priority updates. OTA history is being maintained here:

https://tonesto7.github.io/ford-pwr-up-info/

Click the drop-down menu to select F150 to see the ones that apply to your vehicle.

All newer vehicles are connected vehicles that can be monitored. It isn't just a Ford thing.

If your radio presets were reset, it is possible that your truck received an update and that is what caused everything to be reset.
