No action since you got 4.2.1. No need for FOMO. None of the 4.x.x updates give you anything new. All those updates are to prep the truck for future updates. You'll get it sooner or later.
The good news is, all the updates you are missing are showing in FDRS. You would need a Mongoose cable and a 2-day FDRS license to perform the updates yourself. If you don't want to spend $550 on the Mongoose, let me know and I can add you to the waiting list to borrow one of mine. Details to my loaners are in the the first post of link below:
Your truck is fine. 3.5.3 was actually just sent to you today again. Hopefully it goes through this time. You can update the truck yourself, but the tool is expensive to do so.
@rugedraw ok thank you sir. Unfortunately I am not too confident in it but we will see. The whole thing has been acting very weird and I won’t if it’s because of the out of sequence updates? For example, when I update the time to schedule the updates it won’t show the time I changed it to until the screen is restarted. Also and more infuriating is I have 3 pages of SiriusXM artist notifications…it has now begun showing “no artist notifications saved” more times than not when I start my truck and if I manually restart screen (radio power button plus seek button) sometimes it will fix it and many times it will remain with nothing saved. Then later in the day or next day it may show my saved notifications again and this happens daily now. I attached a couple pics taken minutes apart to show you what I mean. Thank you so much for your help in this forum. I know many people ask you for help, myself included, and thank you for taking the time to help us.

It is possible that the updates will help with the issues you are having, but I can't say that for certain. In your case, you don't seem to have any OTA's out of sequence. You said the last OTA you got was 3.5.2 and you have 3.5.3 trying to install now. Unless I am not remembering something in particular about your case. It happens a lot since I am always looking at different trucks at the same time. The guy I had look at your truck says there are no configuration issues with your truck, and I am 100% confident in his findings. The reason 3.5.3 has failed for you several times (and may fail again) is because of a problem on Ford's side. That update has been problematic for many including myself. So much so, that I got sick of waiting for it and manually updated my truck a second time to get it. Sorry if I already asked, but can you view your rear camera(s) while you are driving?

@rugedraw you had mentioned a few weeks back that my truck was up to 4.3.3 but my fordpass shows 3.5.2 as of October 3, 2022. My screen in my truck used to show what version I had when clicking on update details but now it doesn’t any more. Only in fordpass app which says the 3.5.2 as of right now. The only thing is wonky and screwed up it seems. And it’s driving me nuts with the issues I have explained lol. And no need to be sorry, I know you respond to many people every day and I appreciate all of your help sir!
ps - I can see rear camera when driving but I don’t have full screen CarPlay etc from 3.5.3 and beyond even though you had mentioned I may be at 4.3.3

No dealer has ever updated your truck and your truck does not seem to have gotten skipped over anything. Nothing to worry about. If you can see your rear camera in motion, then you got the 2.x.x updates. 3.5.2 and 3.5.3 are the next ones in the sequence, and 3.5.3 gives you full-screen capability. Unfortunately, it does not look like it is going to go through this time, either. It is trying to download one of the files over and over and failing which is what happens with this update when it goes south.
Your truck will always say it is up to date; even if it isn't. Either that, or it will show the last update it got for some time before it goes back to saying it is up to date. Check out the first post of the thread below for a list of all OTA's for our trucks.
For what it's worth, the day job gives me access to some "inside baseball" stuff. This happened to my Escape last week, it just picks a random channel for the radio every key cycle.
I'm not going to die from it, but it is annoying.
Anyhow, dug around and talked to some people at the OTA update team and this is a known issue, and they told me that the next update will fix at least the things I listed wrong with y car. I have seen some stuff on here beyond what mine is doing so YMMV.

@rugedraw Awesome…thank you so much for the info! I really do appreciate it. By any chance, do you know how often they try to send an update if it fails? Like it clearly has failed today so any idea how long it will be before it tries again or when it may go through? Just curious because it is acting super glitchy and weird. Also, I will check out your other thread. Thank you so much for sharing that link as well in addition to everything else you have helped with!
