Software Updates
Perhaps I was mistaken about blue cruise. My truck has the lane keeping assist and will automatically turn the wheel when I turn on cruise but I have to have my hands on the wheel, so I just assumed it was compatible.
When I press the camera button, while the truck is moving, it tells me that certain features are disabled while the truck is in motion. Should I have this feature enabled with the update I am running? Thank you!

Is that something that may come OTA given enough time or am I boned unless I use the Mongoose?
It goes beyond my scope of knowledge as to what it entails to get it on your truck, but I doubt it will be via OTA. At least not any time soon. Ford is pushing newer updates out of sequence to trucks left and right recently, so who knows if they gave up on those older problematic updates for good or not. I would need a pic of your "about sync" screen to ask the guru to see what it entails, as every truck is different on a case-by-case basis when it comes to getting the missing updates. You may need a mongoose, or you may not.
Hey Rugedraw, can you check on mine again? Been at 4.2.1 since June 21st. You had said the next one can be problematic.

I'm coming up on 5 weeks without my 2021 F150 XLT PB. 5 Star Ford in North Richland Hills TX has been doing their best IMO to fix my truck, and consulted with the Ford team multiple times. They are communicating with me as well as can be expected, but they are stumped. Still no joy.

So still now joy comin up on 2 months now.
As a side note, they gave me a new loaner 2023 XLT with the 2.7EB. I immediately left for a 1,000-mile trip in it. Got 25.4 mpg, which is better than my PB ever got. It also drove better than the PB. If not for the 7.2KW I'd consider trading down.
Update: Dealer still has my truck. They are now ordering a second new APIM after the first replacement failed to update. They seem to indicate that the update failure damages the APIM somehow.

Yes, after a certain amount of failed attempts, the APIM will lock itself out.

Your truck is fine. 3.5.3 was actually just sent to you today again. Hopefully it goes through this time. You can update the truck yourself, but the tool is expensive to do so.
My bad......you slipped through the cracks. I need a picture of your "about sync" screen on your touchscreen.
@rugedraw Not a problem sir. Here is that screenshot
