Sure it is. It doesn't matter how or why you justify your desire for instant gratification or how old you are, it is still clearly your expectation.

I cannot follow your logic where you are equating "instant gratification" with "an application working as it is intended". If it took 5 minutes or 2 hours (or, heck, even a day, let's go crazy!) I wouldn't care either way, but the app is supposed to notify when an OTA has been applied.
You'd accuse yourself of desiring instant gratification if your texting app never told you that someone sent you a text? Or your map application couldn't provide you directions?
