Thank you. Never came up on webs searches. Still doesn't 'splain what the update did exactly. What tailgate settings?
It is an IPC update to prep the truck for future updates. You won't see anything new out of it. You should be getting 4.3.5 soon which is also an IPC update to prep the truck for future updates. 4.3.5 is the latest power-up update at this time.
Don't let it intimidate you......it is very easy to do. I would open an account there if you don't have one and follow the OTA section of that forum. You will learn a lot.
Thanks. I have my mongoose, battery charger, usb stick, and I think I'm good to go software side. Is there anything special I need to do for the camera update or will it just be showing as an outstanding software update in FDRS. I didn't want to start the clock on my two day subscription without knowing.

Stand by while I have the expert take a peek at your truck and see if the process is straight forward or not.

Remember I had told you that OTA 4.2.2 failed to install 4-5 times on your truck? It seems that on one of those attempts, there was a partial install of the files which is causing configuration issues on your APIM. If you have not opened the Mongoose, then don't as you may not need it. One of the resident gurus on f150gen14 forum can help you fix it. @tonesto7 He is on this site, too. Send him a message. He is aware of the situation with your truck.

Thanks. Yeah I had to take it to the dealer for them to get the APIM straightened out. I was thinking I would need the mongoose as I don't trust the OTA updates anymore (also, I already opened it so I don't think I can return it). LoL.

It's always a good tool to have, jic. I have not been lucky with Ford's OTA process and have had to update my truck on my own more than once. As it is, the newer 4.3.x updates people have been getting failed to install on mine. Since they are just updates to prep the truck for future updates, I am in no rush to give Ford $50 to install updates that I don't get anything new from. However, if they do release something new and cool that I can't get because of these updates not going through, it is gratifying to know I can just do them myself and not have to depend on OTA's or dealers.
I am curious as to what that GWM update showing on your truck is for. I am also curious as to why the IPC updates associated with the 4.3.x updates do not show up on your list of available modules pending updates. Maybe when you do the GWM that is there, they will pop up? PTS shows you got 4.2.3 successfully which is the latest GWM update. If you already invested the money into getting everything, I guess another $50 to get that module update done won't hurt much more.
Forgot to attached the pic in the previous post. These are the only updates showing in FDRS for you. However, once you connect it to FDRS and perform a network scan, more may pop up.

@rugedraw I know you said you got the first attempt of 4.3.something about a week ago. We are usually on about the same schedule, but so far, nadda for me. Even though this round of OTAs doesn't add anything, I just hope to stay current with the updates...
