There has to be. Did you scroll left/right when you go into setting to see the other pages? Watch the video below. Fast forward to 35 seconds.

No reason to be worried. You don't need WiFi; not a single update released to date requires wifi for it to download. The only way you need wifi is if you live an a rural area where cellular data is weak or non-existent. Forget everything else said in the video; I only sent you that so you can find where you have to navigate to. All you have to do is turn on auto updates, set a daily time for it to check and install updates, and enjoy your truck as is. There is nothing you can do or not do that will mess anything up.

okay done! I have enabled auto updates and scheduled for Monday at 2:00 a.m.. Not sure I receive a good cell signal in my garage. I just want to know if my truck will or will not run when an update is in progress?

UPDATE: Went to connectivity page and was able to connect and save wi-fi connection..Only question I have now is will my truck run if I needed to use it after an update has started...Thanks!

Auto updates being on will NOT allow the truck to install an update that requires the vehicle to be inhibited. Having auto updates on will only give your truck permission to install updates that don't require the truck to be parked. If you get an OTA that requires the truck be parked for x amount of time, it will download the files, but you will still need to give it the green light before it installs it.

So my question is what is next... The update for 3.5.3 failed to download to the truck twice now despite having good cell signal, I kept the battery topped up putting a battery charger on nightly, took a couple of half an hour plus drives...

So what to do next, should I wait and see if enough people have a problem and see if Ford does anything to fix this, since it looked like a bunch of other people had issues updating too? Should I look at getting a mongoose cable and update it myself, or should I mention it to the dealer next time I am there and see what they say?

Just sucks because I was looking forward to the full screen option.

The second two are you best options. If you choose to wait on Ford to get their sh*t together, I strongly recommend not holding your breath while you wait.

Edit: Case in point: There are many job 1 2021 owners stuck on broken software from 2020, and Ford hasn't done anything to fix their OTA issues. If you think they care about you not having full screen capability, then note they don't care about truck owners who have had their trucks for 18+ months and still don't have the Bluecruise they paid for.

This whole software update situation is ridiculous as many have stated. Myself and a coworker both have Job 2 2021's and his updated a few months ago while mine has had many attempts and no successes. Luckily I found the right person at work to do my update to 22294 via FDRS two days ago. I work for Ford so I know it's an option nearly all of you do not have. Also this update is not possible with a USB dongle. It must be attached to a computer. I know a lot of people are beating up the dealers on this but Ford has them in a bad situation. If a tech does the update then their laptop is stuck being attached to the customers vehicle for a few hours or so. Their laptop is then unavailable to use which is a problem for diagnosing other vehicles while waiting for the update to complete. The tech is not going to give up that time without compensation and evidently Ford is not compensating the dealer. They either have to eat the cost or **** off the customer. Just a bad update process all the way around.

I don't park where I have wifi signal (best I can do is 5G hotspot and I am limited to about 10Gb), I don't have the AT&T cellular and I can't hook up to a power source to update via Mongoose and laptop, truck cannot be activated in Fordpass since it says I haven't taken delivery.

If there is no USB option I am stuck for another 2-3 years until I get back to the states. Overseas dealers will not even touch the truck unless it's a warranty issue or a 200 Euro oil change.
