Software Updates
Anyone want to help explain why my app on my phone says I have an update waiting to push power up 2.8.1 but it doesn’t push or show up on my f150 2021 in the update screen. 1FTFW1EDXMFB61436
I have auto update on and scheduled every day. It showed up as available in January and never applies or even attempts to update. It’s in park etc so

This particular update is a big one and requires the truck to be inhibiited for 1.5 hours or so while it installs. Many people have had trouble with getting this update to install. If you don't have one already, get yourself a 10amp+ AGM battery charger. The next time this OTA gets sent to you, I recommend you drive the truck for a half hour or so in the evening before parking it for the night. As soon as you park it, connect the battery charger to it and set the update to install at 4am after the truck has been parked on the charger for hours.
I don't believe that's the case; having automatic updates off should inhibit the installation of any OTA but I would defer to @rugedraw on this since I've done my own updates in FDRS except for the last BCM & DDM/PDM OTAs.
This gives me a chance to personally thank you for all your work with FORscan. I used your spreadsheet to enable unreal engine, adding HVAC controls to the Sync screen, turned of FENG, and my favorite: Glare free headlights. You, sir, are the man.
Off topic: But have you or anyone figured out how to turn off ANC? It doesn't seem to like my aftermarket subs very much and quiets them at high volume.
"Partial response" message at the top and "Vehicle Status" with the orange warning icon. Swiping down like instructed does nothing.
When I go to the Ford website to view the vehicle dashboard from my browser, it is showing no issues.
Has anyone else seen this?
The only other issue with this update has been that it reset MyView screens. I had to go reselect them all. I think I saw another person who reported something like this too but couldn't find it in the thread.
Thanks

I got the update yesterday via Automatic Updates as messaged on the center screen. The update shows as successful in the truck. Nothing is showing in FordPass. In fact, now when I get into the app, I get the following messages:

3.5.3.2 (in your case, it will be this one as 3.5.3 is for 2021 trucks only) is the update that gives you full screen capability. It will do nothing for whatever issues you are having with Alexa. 2022 trucks came with Alexa built in already, and 3.5.3 gives 2021 truck both full screen and Alexa. Try resetting your APIM by turning on your truck, hold down the radio power button and the forward seek button together for 5-10 seconds until the screen reboots. If that does not do anything, you can try clearing the cache for Alexa on your phone, unpair the truck from the phone and the phone from the truck and repair it to start an all new fresh connection. If that fails, you can try a master reset on your touchscreen. It will erase all your saved data if you do this.
I see the low battery codes. Yes, having a bad battery can cause many issues. I would have the battery tested and replaced if needed. A bad battery can cause every day issues as well as prevent OTA's that are sent to you from installing.

My truck is at the dealer to have them look into the battery and other codes that are being reported daily.. Also mentioned my Alexa not completing setup (on the truck side... the Amazon side is good, and i've tried everything you suggested but it seems like the truck just isn't completing the setup), the hazards randomly flashing quickly once, the parking brake randomly engaging while parked and sometimes while the truck is off and I'm just sitting in it. I mentioned that I was told that the truck needs updates that aren't going through because of the battery errors, so I'm hoping they update everything there as well as check out the battery (which was warranty replaced a few months back as well), but right now they aren't giving me any updates. When I go to the Ford Sync page, I see I'm now on V4.0.22294, from V21297. Is that the latest sync version? Will that include Power Up 3.5.3.2? All of these version numbers are pretty confusing, haha.

Yes, you are now up to date. I see in your history that successfully updated your GWM, your APIM and the TCU. They also reset the BMS sensor to try and get rid of the low voltage codes. I assume they tested your battery and it came out good. When you get your truck back, you will have full screen capability and will be caught up as far as Power Up OTAs go.
