Is there somewhere that tells you what particular updates are? I have one showing being downloaded 4U5T-14G421-CEE_1644007167000.TAR.GZ but that doesnt mean much to me and Google doesnt help.

 

I don't have an active FDRS license, but based on the list @Livnitup posted and your truck being on Sync 22192, your last OTA was back in Spetmeber most likely 3.5.2 since there is no GWM update there. 3.5.3 would update the APIM and 3.5.4 would update the TCU update that will appear on that list once the APIM is updated. There are some non Power Up OTAs going around that will update the BCM, DDM and PDM. Most of the other ones are FDRS only if I remember correctly. I know the CMR is FDRS only as I did that a few weeks ago when I updated mine with FDRS. The last time I update my truck manually was back in September, and I remember doing all of those you have on your list with FDRS, as well.

Haven't seen any of those yet. The last OTA I rcvd was 3.5.2 back on Sep 14. Perhaps all the module updates by the dealer in Dec and last month brought me completely up to date.

Sooooo…I have automatic updates turned off (driving cross country and didn’t want a disabled truck due to a bad update), yet PU007 (the heated mirror update) was forced through anyway. Either the update process is still quite broken or there was something super critical in that update.

Any thoughts?

For this one, yes. But I’m curious how/why it got downloaded in the first place.

 

All OTAs will get downloaded to your truck but they won't install unless you have automatic updates turned on, choose update now, or set a schedule.

I have auto update on and scheduled every day. It showed up as available in January and never applies or even attempts to update. It’s in park etc so

 

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe regardless if the automatic update option is enabled or not, the truck will still install all OTAs automatically except for ones that require the vehicle being inhibited (IPC and BCM OTAs come to mind)

Either way I agree that setting up auto update is a good idea

 

No sure, seems like it's stuck in that mode for your truck. If you have FORScan then maybe try resetting the GWM.
