Ask yourself if you really want every latest software update as the economy heads into rough times.

But, I own my truck outright~~~~~~~~~!
Do you think the 360 cameras will be able to see this???

There's an easy way to avoid any issues with this: Pay the bank what you agreed to pay and pay on time. If you have a loan, you don't own the truck, the bank does. If you don't want to worry about it, pay cash for your truck. Problem solved.

Default Apple car play full screen update

I have a 2021 Ford F-150 XLT and it sinfully updated but the Apple CarPlay full screen mode is not there. Anyone know how I can push that through some how?

The only way to force an update is with a $550 Mongoose OBDII tool and and FDRS license from Ford.

Yes, but 2021's were shipped before the software for that was ready. If you work at a Ford dealer, then take your truck to service to a tech you're cool with and tell him/her to update your truck for you.

so I will go ask a tech but what am I going to tell them to do? The software shows up to date on the screen. Sorry for so many questions. You would think I’d know the answer since I sell then LOL

lol Not your fault. Ford's lack of training is the issue. I used to sell Fords.....trust me.....I know. Post or PM me your VIN so I can check if there are any issues with your truck or if it is ready for the update that'll give you full screen capability right away.

Sort of. But if Ford can remotely disable your truck, rest assured that a competent cybercriminal can as well.

Good news! After complaining to my dealership multiple times about getting no updates and having battery issues, they're finally taking me seriously. They've had the truck for a couple of days, started with troubleshooting the u3000 code on the APIM I told them about. I talked to them yesterday, and apparently it sounds like there was some sort of issue with a wire somewhere they think was the culprit. Since then, it sounds like they fixed the APIM, and are installing updates. I can see from the Fordpass site that the truck has Sync version 22192 now, when it had been stuck on 21136 pretty much since I got this thing a year and a half ago. Hopefully they'll have it ready for me by the end of the day today.

VIN is 1FTFW1E56MFC62112 if someone wants to tell me if they can see what's been done to it over the last couple of days.
