Software Updates
That said, what CAN happen is, an update can apply (either OTA or manually, such as using FDRS/Mongoose or @ the dealership) and wipe out your FORScan changes, which then you would have to apply again, post-update.
You can back up your FORScan changes (using FORScan) and then reapply them after the modules are updated or you can just manually apply them again like you did the first time.
I don't have a ton of FORScan changes on my current truck, so I just keep a copy of the FORScan spreadsheet and document what I changed (before and after values + date of change). I grab a fresh copy of the spreadsheet every so often, then just transfer my changes to it, so I always have a reasonably recent copy of the spreadsheet.

If you're asking if you have to revert FORScan changes before an OTA update will apply, the answer is no.

I don't have many mods done, all relatively basic so not worried about possibly losing and having to reprogram.
I've been backing up my modules after completing each update and labelling them what update was completed all with dates in the filename. Works for me to stay organized and the FORSCAN comparison app is great to see changes between the different files.
Funny thing is my update notification in the truck is for 3.5.2 and I now see people are getting 3.5.3. I'm a bit behind.
You're not really behind. A very small amount of people got 3.5.3 a couple months ago and then it was abruptly stopped. It appears that an even smaller amount of people began to receive the update a couple days ago.
If when you check for updates on your setting menu it does not give you a revision number and your Fordpass app doesn't show the last update you got, then the only way to know is by someone with PTS checking your VIN. Even then, PTS can only see 60 days back, so if your last OTA was over 60 days ago, that won't work either. It should not be that difficult to check what software version you're on, but Ford's OTA process is obviously not that great.
Can someone lookup my Power-Up version? Ford App says 2.7.3 is available, but my truck says everything is up to date. Just purchased this truck used from the Ford Dealer last week. 2021 F150 XLT 302a 5.0 4x4. VIN# 1FTFW1E59MFA86351. Thanks!

I found this odd. As posted earlier I got 3.5.3 0ta on Oct 19th, I did have some problems getting Alexa turned on but eventually did, then I got 3.5.4 ota last Friday, then yesterday I got 3.5.3 ota again, and it said,

What's in This Update?
Ford Power-Up 3.5.3 While you may have seen this update before, we’re resending to ensure some housekeeping features are included to help further enhance your user experience. We’ve been super busy. Check these out. Alexa Built-in Yes, it’s almost here. Most of Alexa Built-in has now been downloaded, with the final piece arriving in a few more days. Then you can wake Alexa up. Make a call, check the weather, interact with your smart-home devices, make a shopping list, ask for a joke. Just about anything you use Alexa for at home, you’ll be able to do in your vehicle. Plus, add Ford Streaming and listen to music and podcasts too. You’ll know it’s time to activate Alexa when the icon appears on your SYNC® Technology screen. Just click on it and follow the steps to register. Keep in mind that your truck must have Enhanced Voice Recognition and an activated modem. And, of course, you’ll need an Amazon account. More good news: Your first three years of Alexa access are on us (streaming media services not included). That three-year clock starts ticking the moment the Alexa icon appears, so don’t wait to set it up. You’re gonna love it. Go to your Ford Account or FordPass® App to learn even more. Ongoing updates like this help you enjoy the best possible version of your F-150® truck.I found this odd. Maybe that has something to do it. Looks like I need to research this so I can update the wiki again. Message me your VIN if you don't want to post it so I can try and make sense out of it.
