2.6 finally finished today after a month of downloading, expiring twice, then getting cancelled. Now the wait begins for 2.7

Did it show it attempted 2.6 and failed? Been keeping the battery charged & brake set.

it kept saying it expired and one file took over a week. I tried the battery charge, the brake on and light switch off but that didn’t seem to do any good. I just waited and it finished. I have an appointment with the dealer tomorrow and I’m gonna see if they will update it all the way.

I see you got 2.1 on 8/1 and 2.1.1 the next day. It also shows that 2.6.0 failed on 8/3 and it says it was canceled? Go to your settings. You should be able to install it. All the files are downloaded.
Thanks for the info. I don't see any option to install an update just Auto Updates, Schedule an Update and Update Details which shows I have the "latest" 2.1.1!
Guess I'll just wait unless I'm missing how to install a downloaded update? Where is that option?

I just received the 2.8.3 update last night, but my FordPass still shows the trailer brake recall. I was under the assumption that the OTA updates took care of this recall?

Can anyone confirm this?

Yes but it will show up as trailer brake recall dl, not one of the numbered OTA's.

No, it doesn't say it ever failed. It shows all the files downloaded, and then the campaign expiring. It's as if it was waiting on you to initiate the update and you never did, so the campaign expired. Did you ever get a notice that you had an update pending to be installed?

If you were able to install the update yourself, the option would appear to start the update. Some do not require the vehicle to be inhibited, so it won't ask you for permission......it will just do it.

Mine went away after one of the 2.7 OTA updates.

I never saw anything in the menu or on Ford Pass about receiving an update or starting the install. Auto updates are on. The only thing I get is info on 2.1.1, the last firmware to install.

Thanks for your help.

WARNING: to people using FDRS - there's a new BCM (and ABS for some) update available but one guy is reporting it bricked his BCM so I wouldn't do it until more is known.
