Can someone please check my VIN 1FTFW1E89MFA22367? I did a master reset last week, trickle charger, new battery, and still nothing. Earlier this week a notice popped up on FordPass App for an update but, when I check in the vehicle it shows no update pending.
You had 2.8.1 in queue to install, but now it says the update was cancelled and there is no retry pending. 2.8.1 is the one that takes 145 minutes (although some people have seen it go through in an hour or so), but if your battery goes below a certain percentage during the install, the update will fail. It is recommended to hook up your truck to a battery charger during the update when you initiate it. In your case, the update didn't fail, but it says cancelled. Not sure why, tbh.
Edit: Just reread your post and I see you used a charger. I don't know what happened in your case.

Rugedraw can I bug you to check in again on update status if possible. When to checked the other day the system reported a fail attempt at 2.6 but I'm seen no activity since and Ford Pass still shows nothing for failed attempt or otherwise. Thanks again.

The status is the same. It has not tried to update again since the initial update attempt failed on 6/17. On my personal truck, I had 2.7.3 fail to install on 6/9, then again on 6/13 and then again on 6/21. There is no way to tell when it will try to update itself again; you just gotta cross your fingers and pray to the OTA gods.

2 nights in a row 2.8.1 has been rescheduled because preconditions we’re not met. Every condition listed in the ford pass app is met. Going to try putting on my ctek charger and retry.

I had the same issue. I attempted 10 different times and got a battery warning. Hooked it up to a battery charger, still failed, changed the battery, still failed, did a master reset and now as you read above it cancelled the update and haven’t had another one pushed down yet.
