Throughout this thread everybody knows what software update is installed. Where is this information located? I have looked in the truck in the System Update menu and the Update Details but that only tells me the system is up to date but doesn't provide a version number. I have also looked at the vehicle dashboard here, https://www.ford.com/support/vehicle-dashboard/, under software updates and it tells me it can't retrieve the update details. Is there another way I can find the installed software version?

 

I just received 2.1.1 today ford must be slowly pushing updates to me any more in the Q vin 1FTEW1EP7MKD96017

 

Yup, it shows you got it a little over two hours ago. Nothing in queue just yet, though.

 

Thanks, I will keep reporting updates as I receive them. Hopefully this will provide some insight and hope for others who are in the same boat as me.

 

Once you get an OTA update you can see the last one installed from the Update Details screen. But unfortunately it's otherwise difficult to know for sure. I know many look at the About Sync screen, but I don't believe that gives good detail on the Power-up applied (unless something changed there).

If you have a 2022 truck though, you probably have nearly the newest possible. It seems most 2022 owners are just missing 2.8.3 depending when in 2022 their truck was built. Ford hasn't released other updates lately aside from fixes for the trailer brake controller and other more specific fixes.

 

Can I get someone to check on my VIN, I have the updates up to 2.8.3 via OTA, however after 2.8.1 my pre-collision assist, auto high beams, and cruise control all went out. Lane keep is also out, but assume that is related to the others. I mainly want to see if there are any DTC's showing up.

How does one know if they have the latest trailer brake controller software? I plan on using my trailer in a week and I've not received any OTA updates since I picked up my truck on June 3rd. I'm assuming that my truck already has the latest software... but I don't want to be going down the mountain with a trailer "assuming" the whole time.

 

Yup, your truck started throwing out DTC's since June 22nd. It seems that 2.8.1 messed something up. Looks like a trip to the dealer is in your immediate future.

 

I asked a similar question earlier today and Livnitup checked my pending updates with FDRS and it showed no TRM update pending on my truck. That may be the only way to check.
