Ok so something is wrong with it as when I select the update now it tells me no update available that requires downtime.

No update pending yet. It just installed a few hours ago, so it's not abnormal that the next update hasn't queued up yet.

Mine has been stuck almost an entire month trying to install 2.7.3 when my truck says it's already on 2.7.3. I don't know what to tell you. You've gotten farther than I have so far. lol

So it's failing on one of the file downloads. I haven't seen the message before it is providing, but I do see you had a DTC on your IPC module, which is also the one updated by this update. @Airborne_Ape noted in an earlier post that you may see this initial configuration message if you made Forscan changes and provided instructions on how to clear the DTC. I had this same DTC and cleared it using his instructions and it hasn't returned.

Maybe you didn't do Forscan changes, I don't know, but that is a potential cause of the OTA failing. Or it could be a problem on Ford's end.

I don't know that a master reset will help given the message, it may not hurt anything to try if you haven't made any changes as noted above.

I had read before vehicle needed parking brake set and vehicle needed to be locked. Just to clarify then it matters whether I double click the key fob. I often just lock with Ford Pass as the phone is most handy. If this is the case might be why I had some prior install issues. Just looking to clarify. Tks

Not sure if it is necessary, but it doesn't hurt to click it that extra time to make sure.

Nothing as of yet. You have the latest software currently available. The OTA gods have shined upon thee.

Yep, got 2.8.1 two days ago, and 2.8.3 today. I guess they are moving all the 2021 Job 1, out quick now.

Odd that you didn't indicate getting 2.8.2. There is nothing beyond 2.8.3 currently.

My error. It was 2.8.2 a few days ago, not 2.8.1. Typing to fast. Lol.
