Called my two local dealers. One of them I've bought 3 trucks off and usually get all my service. They said no appts. until March to fulfill 22B08! The other performed the two recalls but said it wasn't a safety issue and didn't know when they could perform the updates! Called Ford and couldn't reach a human!
So I guess no updates or Blue Cruise as my truck won't connect to my home WiFi no matter what I do (I have multiple devices and two sub-nets and it works fine but Sync can never connect) and Auto Updates is now greyed out.
Is there any way I can download and perform the updates myself with a USB key or the like?
Also can I get a in-depth list of what it needs please?

I am in the process of investing in the FDRS and mongoose adapter, but would like to know if I actually need too. That is a lot of money, but I don’t have cameras at speed on my 1st job truck. My vin is 1FTFW1E53MFB07307 , thank you very much.

 

@ginfest Are you on OTA 1.7.1? I was having the same issue with the wifi connectivity back in Dec-21. I had to delete the wifi connection multiple times and did the APIM reset holding the power and seek forward buttons. I finally got it to connect and noticed via the network monitor on my home network that it started download something. I left the truck running to see what it would do and over the course of the next 20 minutes it downloaded about 2GB. When it seemed to stop I shut the truck off. About 45 minutes later I had to go somewhere and when I started the truck got a message that I had received OTA 2.1 as best as I can recollect.

After this, it sat at that OTA for months and now I am in the 21G08 Blue Cruise enablement churn that all the others are experiencing. I have had 27 shop days now (without a rental as my dealer has a 3 month queue to get one and I unfortunately don't know the owner of the dealership) and still don't have BC. I am now on Sync 22087.415 (not sure what version this equates to as far as OTA), but I think it might be 2.8.1. I do get messages now when using ACC that I need to keep keep my hands on the wheel PLUS a new one that says I need to keep my eyes on the road (if I block the eye camera with my hand) but no handsfree BC. Strange that when I go to the widget that someone created, it shows SYNC4 version as 21233....

Now awaiting an IPC module (on backorder with no ETA from Ford presumably due to the chip shortage fiasco), but not confident that is the source of the issue and am expecting they replace it and still will have the same problem. I think the tech is not really good and if he runs into any issues in the Ford procedures, he is totally lost and has no clue as to what needs to be done.

VERY frustrating as it is with so many of us and our experiences with getting these job 1 trucks updated.

Your truck is registering constant codes for image processing modules. Do you have any issues with your camera(s)? Last truck I checked that had that, the guy said he was having issues with his camera system. Just curious.

Your truck updated to 2.6 on May 31st and you have 2.7.1 currently downloading since June 2nd. The only open FSA you have is:

I don’t believe my front cameras are working. I actually have an appointment on June 30th to do all of the recalls but I was going to have them look at my crash warning system. It definitely is not working.

 

Yup. It seems to throw a code for the image modules on an almost daily basis.

Hi, I'm not sure what I'm on! Hopefully someone can run the vin and publish the list of installed/pending. I'm going to try the reset you mentioned and see what happens.
