2.8.2 installed on my 2021 XLT overnight. Guess I'm in the que for 2.8.3 as the FordPass App said, "An additional download will arrive soon to complete the process."

 

Hope so. However, I have been waiting for 11 days since my 2.8.2 was installed, still don't see it coming.

 

Can't turn on updates it's grayed out on select screen. I know it worked when I got the truck. wifi still connects no updates.

 

Try resetting the APIM. Turn on the truck, let it boot up completely, then hold the radio power button and the forward seek button together for a few seconds. You will see the screen go black and then reboot. I believe a few people on here have had to take the truck to the dealer for this issue to get resolved, though. Hopefully someone that experienced that issue can chime in.

 

Like several other have commented I also received 2.8.3 today bring me up to date.

 

Just curious - Are there any negative or unintended consequences of doing a reset like this; e.g. loss of settings or anything else?

 

Not at all.

 

I had the same problem. One dealership had it for 10 days and couldn’t get it fixed. Second dealer replaced the APIM and now I get updates even though they are extremely slow to get. I’m just on 2.1.1 as of now. Hopefully they will start coming more frequently.

 

Could someone with FDRS access please provide a list of any modules that require updating?
