Wow, that's awesome, Thanks!
I wonder why I don't see any messages on the screen or in Ford pass showing that these happen... Great to know it did. Thanks again.

No problem at all. I don't think the truck screen will tell you it updates. I don't remember it telling me anything any time I got an OTA pushed, but then again, my memory is not my strongest asset lol. The FordPass app not telling you is a bit strange, though. I always get a notification from my Fordpass app with 15 minutes of anything happening in my OTA dashboard.

Your OTA dashboard does not show that 2.8.3 is in queue to be installed yet, but seeing that you did receive an OTA four days ago, I would not be too concerned about it.
So the camera update is in 2.8.3? I hope I get that one shortly! I have been waiting for that feature! I believe I’m at 2.7.1 currently.

Do trucks that were built in May already have the latest 2.8.2(3) software? Looking at the Wiki, the current version has been out since March.

I believe someone mentioned that 2.8.3 is the camera unlock within the past few days. You're still a few updates away from getting it if you're at 2.7.1 now.

I'm not sure. In theory, it should leave the factory running the latest and greatest.

At least your dealer ordered you a new APIM. Mine refuses to call Ford hotline to trouble shoot it and that's the only way to get authorized a new APIM under warranty. So my dealer just says, nah we don't feel like doing that, just live with it.

That sucks. I'm sorry you are having to go through the same thing I am.

Thanks, I checked last night and the "update now" was grayed out like always and it says "there no updates that require vehicle downtime" or something similar. Then I clicked update details but it was still blank. This morning and it showed on my update details that I have 2.6.0 installed. A few hours later I noticed the icon in the upper right corner of the display that shows "there is an update available" So I clicked on "update details" and its blank again.

I checked the meaning for the icon in the upper right corner and the owners manual states "There is an update available. This icon will only appear if Automatic Updates are turned off (Manual Setting). " I have always had Automatic Updates turned "ON" so not sure why it says that.

I'm hoping a new update is being installed or something and it's not finished installing.

Thanks again, I appreciate the info and you checking on my system!

If it's an update that doesn't require vehicle inhibit, you don't hit update now or worry about scheduling. But I do think the vehicle has to be started. That is the "Vehicle Activation" trigger that it is waiting on. If you are just getting in and hitting the start button to turn on accessory mode, that may not do it. I was always able to kick off the install by going out, actually starting the truck, waiting a minute or two, then shutting it off, getting out, and locking it. The update almost always completed at that point.
