You mean you can see in FDRS when New Updates will be shot out to you?
No, only way to see that an update is coming to you is when the trigger is created and it shows in the OTA dashboard. For 2.6 since it's such a huge update, I was able to watch it over about 2 days as it downloaded the files to my truck.
I took my 2016 Edge in for service on the electric parking brake. Although I did not request it and was not informed ahead of time, the SW for the ABS (which runs the electric parking brakes) was updated. I was charge 0.4 hours of labor (@ $135/hr). After much complaining, I did get a refund.
Hello, appreciate all the shared info in this thread, read through nearly all of it. Looking to understand when I should expect BC OTA's to start and if there is anything I need to do (e.g. contact dealer to fix anything first). I'm willing to wait until June 30th (as other's have stated) if it's in my cards to get BC without having to get too involved, but if there's something preventing that from happening automatically in the coming weeks, I'm hoping to understand what that is. Would someone be kind enough to provide the latest on my F150?
Job 1 build I believe(Blend # 220210709), latest sync version below, showing 2.6 as last OTA update, cannot use rear cameras while driving, connected to my home wifi, automatic updates on, scheduled updates set for midnight 7 days/week. Thank you in advance for any help!
Note, on my Ford Pass app (Android) I show no info about each update when looking at previous Ford Powerup updates. Not sure if I need to reinstall the app?
FYI: I intend to call Ford on Tuesday. When calling the number provided in this thread (833.926.3287) I actually got Lincoln, and the gentlemen who answered suggest that I call this number (800.392.3673) for latest OTA status for truck, and tell the bot menu "customer service".
Hope that's helpful to someone on here... I'll update my experience this week.
You're mixing up some things, when it says "Up to Date", it just means for the campaigns currently active for your truck, it doesn't mean it's on the latest software available in the world. Nothing you do with your truck is going to make it get an OTA update, not leaving it in accessory or driving five hours or any of it, because your truck doesn't go out and grab an OTA update. The updates come in waves based on when Ford pushes them, and they do them in batches based on VIN. I didn't get any since November but in the past month have received one almost ever 3-5 days, which coincides with what you are seeing, saying you got one on the 24th then got one 3 days later.
Below is from my last update, a trigger is created for your VIN then the truck is contacted and told to receive files for an update. You can drive the truck for hours or hit the update details button until you wear out the screen and it won't matter until your VIN is marked for an update.
Now, that said, once the trigger is set, the files downloaded to the truck, it seems to sit in a state of being ready to be installed on vehicle activation. I have seen this on mine three times now because I check the OTA dashboard almost daily.
The OTA update doesn't seem to install once I am at that Update Files are Ready to Activate until I next start my truck. Then it goes to "Vehicle Activation Start" and if the Vehicle Inhibit isn't set to "Yes" for the update, it will install it when I am driving.
So driving the truck can kick a pending update to install, but you don't need to drive it for hours. Most of the updates take 1-2 minutes, with the largest one I have received taking about five or so (2.6).
Don't worry about any tricks or driving for hours or any such thing. You can't force an update aside from using FDRS.
Okay that makes way more sense. I'm trying to hold out then at least until our appointment with the dealer.
Still awaiting my new IPC with no ETA.... Sync was updated to 22087 which I think may be 2.7 or ,maybe 2.8... No BC active yet, but now when I go to adaptive cruise, I get yelled at for both not keeping my hands on the wheel AND not keeping my eyes on the road... I guess this shows that the eye tracking camera is working... The truck is still a lane wandering fool, so I hope that is resolved once all the modules are updated to compatible levels.

Where do I go to see this information? Doesn't seem to be available thru FDRS.
I took my truck in for the 1.7.1 update and they couldn't do it. I didn't have time then to take it back in, I was driving from Florida to Arizona, but now three months later I finally have an appointment at a different dealer. Vulnox can you look at my VIN and tell me what module updates I need and can you tell me how I should ask them to get 1.7.1 installed and do all the updates in laymans terms? I want to be absolutely clear when I talk to the service writer what needs to be done. I know that TSB 22-2150 should correct the 1.7.1 issue and it has to be done first, is there anything newer that I should know about. Here in Central Florida it takes about two months to get into a dealer for service so if it isn't done right you have to live with it for a long time.
Thanks, you do so much for us all and I hate to add to your workload but I'm getting very envious of everyone on here who's finally getting their OTAs.

I believe it's only available through OASIS, which unless you work for Ford in some capacity, either directly or through a dealer, you won't have access.
