Software Updates
You're getting frustrated because the dealers wont' do work for free?
Unless they are repairing your vehicle under warranty and the repair requires the module software to be updated, your only options are to pay to have them do it or wait for the OTAs.
Post your VIN and @Livnitup will post your outstanding OTAs and such, including if one failed and has now stopped your truck from receiving more updates.
If there is a failure/stuck APIM, then you can take it in and the dealer should address it under warranty.
But if your truck is perfectly fine and you just want the latest updates NOW, well ... you don't get that for free.

OTA updates is supposed to be the answer, but this has been a problem also.
Yes, so far I think all of these warranty-covered programs to get BC working like 21G01 & 22B08 are only for '21 Job 1 trucks. If it falls outside of those specific manufacture dates for covered vehicles, the dealership service department would get no reimbursement from Ford. Heck, I am covered as a '21 Job 1 truck but they still can't get it working... Sucks, and hopefully they get the OTA process figured out.
Then what happens when Mr. Smith performs his own module SW updates, screws something up, gets in an accident and someone dies? You guessed it -- Ford gets to spend millions in legal fees proving that Mr. Smith screwed up.
Agreed. But remember, they just started these. These WILL get better, just like everything else does over time.

I also agree. Or just something as simple as disabling the truck in the driveway by a failed module update. Who pay's for the tow? Ford will blame the customer to avoid the cost and the customer will blame Ford. Someone will have to pay. This isn't as easy as taking your phone to AT&T to get reset.
Hello,
Looking to see if you can look at the info for my truck and see what it says.
Thank you

You may have one of these early trucks that have problems with the APIM. I'm not a tech by any stretch......just telling you what I see.

Has it been a known issue that when you get 2.6 you lose the ability to see your Intelligent Cruise under Driver Assistance? I have Cruise and Adaptive cruise, and neither are shown as selected. I expected to maybe see Adaptive Cruise selected and another option for Speed Limit Read/Adjust, but that's just gone completely.
All of those things still work, my adaptive cruise and auto speed limit adjust, but it isn't present in any form under Driver Assistance now. I am afraid to hit the "Adaptive Cruise" option in case it sets it then I lose auto speed limit read completely.
I have seen other variations of the Driver Assist screen people have posted, where the speed reading was in a different spot. i have checked all over and it's just, gone, but for now is at least still working. I know it was there as of a week ago up to when I got 2.6 yesterday at least.

No OTA history on your truck within the past 60 days and no OTA update pending. Your truck has a build date of 12/2020, so you have a very early Job 1 truck. According to the system, the version of sync that's on your truck is the same one it came out of the factory with. It doesn't seem like your truck has ever gotten an OTA update. Also checked your DTC history and your truck is throwing codes out almost daily for vision camera system and image processing modules. Have you had any issues with the camera(s) in your truck? I don't remember seeing those codes on anyone else's trucks I have checked.

I keep getting an errors for the camera by the rear view mirror.
im greyed out for updates. I have an appointment on the 6th to drop off the truck for the three recalls and to see if they can get it to update.
Oh, after double checking PTS, it does say a newer version of Sync was installed on your truck on 6/29/21. It does not specify if it was OTA or done at a dealer, though.
