Software Updates
Ok really stupid question, why in the world would the dealer NOT apply these updates. Asking as I will probably be asking the dealer next week the same questions, and what "fix" are they waiting on? I thought they have all of the updates available to them now.
@lugusthedog I found mine in Fordpass in the message center under Account, then scroll down and look for messages saying You're rolling with the last Ford Power-up. Then click Update Details. That's how I found out mine was stuck on 2.1.1

Hello, I am new to this forum but just wanted to share where I am at with the failed updates @Livnitup would very much appreciate any information you can provide, my VIN is 1FTFW1E8XMFA27013
The dealer had mine all day yesterday for the second attempt to get the updates working. I had advised them on the service bulletins and the requirement for the correct cables and they assured me that they had what it took.
At the end of the day they told me that the updates still failed and that the tech thinks it is because they updated the FDRS program to address the trailer brake recall and it is causing issues with updating the modules. He also stated that his USB drive is very old and wanted to get a new one and wait for FORD to issue a new update to FDRS.
I am in the tech field and I call BS! but I am not going to drop almost $700 to get what it takes to do it myself either so I get to wait for round three.

All I have in my message center are security alerts and one special offer.

These aren't like doing an update on your mobile phone. They take far long (measure in days if you have enough outstanding). And they don't update them just because they are there. Typically, they'll only update if it's part of work they are getting paid for (by customer or warranty) to fix something. If it ain't broke, they don't "fix" it.

This whole fiasco will definitely make me reconsider Ford on future vehicle purchases.
Mine has been in and out of the dealer for 3 weeks now. They were struggling with the direct USB/Ethernet update to get it unstuck from a previous OTA update. They finally got that resolved but I was disappointed to be told that they did not yet have the software to update everything to get Bluecruise yet. So now I have to wait even more for the OTAs to come down. I'm an exceptionally calm person but this is really starting to make my blood boil.
