To clarify my post above, the charger is not directly wired to the battery, but rather the supplied eyelet cable, and that cable is attached to the extension cable that comes through the grill. The charger in my set-up is on my work bench and is connected to the cable coming out from the grill area.

I have the NOCO genius 10, I have the quick connector pigtails on My F150, F250, Jeep, and my HD. It is a little pricey for a charger/maintainer but it does work great.

I have a Job1 2021 502A, last successful OTA was 4.2.4 all the way back in April '23. Now I see they tried to push 2.6.0 back in October, which obviously failed.

Has anyone seen that before?? Hopefully not a result of Forscan updates.

I have seen that before, but that is very strange indeed. Anything you did with FORScan would not cause that. Not sure why the server thinks your truck is outdated to the point where it would send you such an old update package.

Hey, @rugedraw Can you check a couple VINs for a co-worker of mine? Thanks!

F150: Last OTA it got was 6.4.0 back on 12/14. The rest of the updates in the 6.x.x series have been throttled back due to possible issues. This truck is fine and good to go in terms of OTA's. I see it recorded some hard faults for collision assist not being available a few days ago. The codes it reported to the cloud are below. This could be due to blockage of the CCM radar or front IPMA cameras (snow/ice build up on the front of the vehicle can cause this). If it continues to do it, a trip to the dealer may be warranted to calibrate the IPMA and check the CCM.

Lightning: Does not seem to have gotten any updates sent to it yet. No relevant DTC's being reported to the cloud. This truck seems fine to me. In terms of the lack of updates, the problem lies with the crappy OTA process and not with the truck itself.

Thanks, @rugedraw . F150: She's complaining of various Sync connectivity issues.

Says her connected nav (traffic & weather) drops in and out all the time. I see a repeated TCU (and BCM) errors in your screenshot, so something could be wonky with that (firmware or hardware).

Says when she's on the phone (connected thru Sync), if you touch ANYTHING on the screen, it will drop the phone call. I don't see any APIM or related errors, but ... who knows.

I may yank out the Mongoose and let her cover the $50 FDRS cost to see what's out there.

Lightning: Cool. Thx.

Every vehicle I have ever checked is always recording some soft code. I only tell people when I see a hard fault reported because I don't want people to worry about things that aren't important. Thise issues are obviously not normal, but the F150 is on the latest Sync version, so there won't be any APIM updates in FDRS for her. I can check FDRS for modules pending updates when i get home to my laptop. Remind me after 7pm eastern because I will most likely forget.

Thanks, @rugedraw I'm betting she's got a firmware update waiting for the TCU or it's got hardware issues.

Off that list, my truck is throwing those IPMA 1578:89 and TRM U0140:87 (sometimes U0140:82) codes pretty much every day too since it was new, so it seems that isn't uncommon/maybe a software quirk.

Also, @rugedraw are the module updates in PTS (Diagnostics > Vehicle Software) accurate? I don't have FDRS, but I bought three days of PTS to look up some service manual maintenance procedures, and I see this list for my truck:
