Correctly or incorrectly, my service manager has told me that recently-accomplished updates via FDRS aren't removed from the list/queue in FDRS until he personally removes them, so a check via Forscan while service is in progress--or even within a couple of days thereafter--very possibly won't reflect all that's been done. With that in mind, I've texted him requesting confirmation that FDRS has been updated before I ask @Livnitup or someone else to do another check.

As soon as the module update is done it will disappear from the list of available software updates except for the GSM that seems to stay no matter what. This is an automated process because when a module is updated it then updates Ford's server database for your VIN so that the database knows the exact software level of your module and then the list refreshes so for him to say that he controls when it disappears doesn't make any sense at all. I've done many software updates with FDRS to my own truck and am very familiar with the process.

Edit: He can control when the "Outstanding Field Service Actions" disappear from your VIN but not module updates.

Alrightie, then, God love ya. Will you please do a second Forscan check on my truck? Would greatly appreciate--showing both pending SW updates & OTA status, por favor? 1FTFW1E81MFB04500

Huh. Suddenly looks like the truck is about to “cook with gas.” Since the most recent service visit, on 5/3, my Xfinity WiFi has been connecting to the TCU, as I’ve noted on the WiFi’s app, but it hadn’t connected to SYNC/the APIM for 30 days—until I saw it doing so for much of today … apparently downloading! Guess I won’t need a new APIM/whatever after all. 🤞 Last time, the tech said that he’d corrected the “locked up” APIM & TCU while doing several module updates. Seems that somethin’s shakin’ down in Dearborn…
Well, darn, the screenshot from FordPass evidently is a few too many KB’s/MB’s to upload to the forum. Bottom line is that 2.7.3 is scheduled to install in the a.m.

If day 2 is pissing you off, I hate to see what you'll be saying when MONTH 2 arrives (like mine did). 😒

My service department ordered an APIM for my truck on March 2nd. It came in on May 3rd. And even though I had already downloaded BlueCruise OTA, they couldn't get it programed until yesterday.

Good luck.

The ABS module can also hang out in the update list after being applied. Otherwise, updates disappear as they're applied. Sometimes Ford's servers don't see that new updates are available for a short time after a prerequisite update has been applied, but that's hit or miss on when/why it happens from what I've seen.

Default Livnitup

I don't know Livnitup and have never asked him for help. He provides help to anyone who askes in this thread. IF I ever get the status of my truck from processing to a VIN I may ask him for help. I don't want him to get exasperated, always helping us and stop doing it, I may need him.

So, I'm publicly asking him for a contact email and am going to send him an Amazon Gift card for doing so much for all of us. So Livinitup what is your email address?
