Ok thanks. Has the dealership given you any indication on how long it may take?

Other question; My APIM should be fine being I have gotten all other OTA updates so far.. right?
Theoretically it should be fine. I'm not a tech; I just share what I've learned following this thread. I have a job 1 truck and have had issues with OTA's for a while and still having them.

I thought so too. I will give that a shot when I get home this afternoon and hopefully that will do the trick. Well dang you’ve learned a lot! I figured you were a tech aha. Hoping they get their crap figured out on these job 1 trucks. Seems like 2.8.2 and beyond go more smoothly.. I hope.

Yup. You have 2.7.1 downloaded and ready to be installed as of 4 hours ago. Go to your truck and check for updates on the touchscreen.

hey man, so the update finally took. Want to say thank you very much for all your help today and for everybody that helped me with my million questions. The truck is in deep sleep mode but update successful.

addabob, no it did not throw any codes when unplugged, at least on the dash. I am wondering with it being unplugged if that is why the update had issues, but still went through, although screwed up some other things. I plugged the motors back in, but with the valance actually gone, you can see the bottom part of the motors. Once I get things worked out, I think I am going to look into modifying the motor, and keep it plugged in.

I just got an unsuccessful update to 2.7.3 but I thought I was at 2.8.3 since I have BC and cams at speed after the dealership updates. Probably the same battery error others are getting if I had to guess, but who knows…

this is what the widget shows….
