Yea, they can leave a pretty good gash. Had to cut them out and weld round stock to the edges. It cut down on the hospital bills substantially. It actually looks pretty good, can't tell from the outside....cab seals right up.

I randomly had a stumble and stall on Cold start. Since everything that has a wire going to it is new except the IAC, I swapped in a FoMoCo IAC. I hate to parts swap without a diagnosis but the wife is leaving town in the morning and I already had a new one in the tool box. I had to try something since I'm on Kid duty for the week.
The truck stumbled and stalled a few hours ago, but didn't have any issues after the new IAC a few minutes ago. Tomorrow morning will probably be the real test.
It's always something with the truck.
I really want to buy something new and then restore the truck but I'm afraid it'll sit in a garage like Jbrews. :P
