Everything the builder did is 14 gauge. Everything I've done has been 12, with the exception of the garage 220, and 8/3 is what I used on that. That was a real 8!tch to work with too.
EDIT: This summer... one of my top plans (maybe even more than the 351 project) is getting more outlets in the garage. I'll probably use the gray PVC conduit for that project. Seems easier.
When I bought my house, I had a panel installed in the garage with 22 20-amp outlets, the compressor wired direct, an exhaust fan in the ceiling and all the lights. and just recently added a 50-amp welder plug.
In 2001 my stepdad was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and I moved back home to help care for him.
Their garage at the condo only has one outlet @ 15 amps, and that was annoying.
More outlets were a priority.
I bought a new backup drive with USB 3.0. It completed an image backup in about two hours, whereas the old one took a whole day. That was $56 very well spent.
I used to be active on a tractor forum and still get notifications every so often. This video about the (in this case fatal) risks of using the wrong equipment in recovery operations was linked in one of the posts, and I thought I'd share it here.
